MONDAY-

*Only 7 days to make our AR goals!

Playtime at the park will be our reward for those that succeed. Keep reading!!

*Our last story this year is an informa-tional text on Benjamin Franklin called, Now & Ben. The new vocabulary words are: inventions, remarkable, designed, amounts, accomplishments, achieve, composed, and result.

*This week we will have our last spelling list. The new words have oa, ow, ee and ea. They are: seated, keeps, speed, seen, means, clean, groan, roast, bowls, crow, owe, grown, green, snow, peace, and below.

TUESDAY-

*Please remember to send in a stamped, self-addressed envelope. This was my fifth year to send letters to the graduating class and they loved hearing from themselves ten years later!

WEDNESDAY-

*I will be sending home the review for chapter 11 math test tonight, workbook pgs. 463-464. Please go through it carefully with your child and return it on Thursday. Tomorrow is our last math test. Yea!!

THURSDAY-

*Chapter 11 Math test!!

*2nd grade field trip, we will leave at 9:00 and return before school dismisses. All students must bring a lunch and dress for the weather. It will be a fun day.

FRIDAY-

*All library materials must be returned ASAP, they are all due today. Search high and low if your child has any library materials at home. We will check all our desks and lockers in school as well.

*Fitness Fest at Mapleton this morning. We will be eating lunch at the school, no sack lunch needed. Make sure all students have tennis shoes to wear as there will be lots of running. If it is cold send a jacket and water if it’s warm.

*School dismisses three hours early today due to PLC meetings.

*We have some summer birthdays this year. I would suggest bringing in treats ASAP if you want to celebrate before school is out. I would like to wish a happy birthday to all the people who turn one year older in the summer. Yes, that includes me!!
