FifthAnnual Youth Basketball Tournament

Grades3rd – 6th March 25th-26th

Grades 7th & 8th March 18th

Registration Fee: $100 per team – 3rd – 6th grade

$125 per team – 7th & 8th grade

Each team is guaranteed a minimum of 3 games.

(Depending on the number of teams registered.)

Please read and understand the following rules. Each coach is responsible for his/her players and others with the team, to know the rules and follow them.

Rules:

  • All games will be 2 halves with a running clock and a 5 minute halftime. The clock will stop for all time-outs, at the officials’ request and the last two (2) minutes of the last half for all normal violations.

Time per half:

3rd/4th grade division 12 minutes

5th/6th grade division 14 minutes

7th/8th grade division 16 minutes

  • Pressing rules by division:

3rd/4th grade division –press last two minutes of the last half unless you are up by 10pts or until you are up 10

5th/6th grade division – press last two minutes of the 1st/2nd half unless you are up by 10 pts or until you are up 10

7th/8th grade division - pressing allowed the entire game until you are up by 15 points

  • Teams will be given two (2) thirty (30) second time-outs per half. Time-outs cannot be carried over at any time.
  • Overtime: Teams will be given one (1) thirty (30) second time-out. A two (2) minute running clock will make up the first overtime period. If a second overtime is needed, it will be sudden death overtime (first team to score in any manner wins).
  • Medals for 1st, 2nd and 3rd place will be awarded in each division.

Coin Toss

  • Please arrive 30 minutes prior to your game time, as games could run ahead of the scheduled times.
  • Teams will be given 5 minutes to warm up and be ready.
  • Team uniforms should be the same color with visible numbers.
  • Each player must have a signed waiver form before participating in the tournament.
  • MSHSAA Rules Enforced & MSHSAA Refs Used.
  • Each team will need to provide a person to run the clock, and keep the books.

Admission: $4/adult and $2/student (Coaches & players free) -- Concession stand will be available. No outside food/drink.

POOR SPORTSMANSHIP WILL NOT BE TOLERATED! This is a tournament operated under the core values of respect, character, and exemplary sportsmanship. We expect COACHES, PLAYERS and FANS to be on their best behavior. Violators will be asked to leave the facility.
