BRAM STOKER FESTIVAL

Get into the spirit of Halloween this weekend with the Bram Stoker Festival.

Set against the backdrop of All Hallows Eve, the Bram Stoker festival offers film, theatrical and literary events that celebrate the life and legacy of the Godfather of Goth, exploring the macabre side of Dublin past and present.

SATURDAY OCTOBER 26TH

The creepiness kicks off this Saturday with a jam-packed itinerary of talks, walks and tours, with special after hour activities for those who want to go bump in the night.

Dublin will get a macabre make over starting this Saturday with tours and outdoor events taking place all over the city. Uncover Dublin’s haunted secrets with Le Cool and Hidden Dublin walking tours, or get into the spirit of things with the Raise Your Spirits street festival in the Dame District.

Like all good vampires the Bram Stoker Festival comes alive at night – join the Lost Boys (and girls) at the Lost Society Halloween Masquerade Party or seek refuge in The Church bar and nightclub, where saints and sinners can share a Bloody Mary, and dance the night away in the cellar nightclub.

SUNDAY OCTOBER 27TH

This Sunday is definitely not a day of rest, as ghouls, ghosts and the walking dead continue to take over Dublin’s streets as part of the Bram Stoker Festival.

Dublin’s creepiest churches and castles are the perfect setting for most of Sunday’s eerie events. Visit Dracula’s Fire Garden and search for the man himself in Dublin Castle, or catch a screening of ‘The Addams Family’ above the crypts of Christ Church Cathedral.

For those looking for a nightcap with a little more bite try a Bloodbath cocktail at The Morgan or round off your Sunday night with an evening of gothic live art at The Bernard Shaw. For more information on events visit the Bram Stoker Festival website.
