Programmes and Courses

  1. Available Programmes

Most courses offered at the Université Laval Business Faculty are available to exchange students provided that they have completed the necessary pre-requisites and that there is a place in the class. Please note the following exceptions:

  • The Masters in Expertise Comptableprogramme is not open to exchange students.
  • For any of the Masters in Finance programmes, students must enrol into the four (4) mandatory courses in their first semester.
  1. Preliminary Course Information

On the link below, you can have a look at the courses generally available in the Fall and Winter semesters. Please start discussing this with your academic advisor.

All incoming students must maintain a full-time status while on exchange: 4 courses (12 credits).

MBA students are limited to four classes, whereas Bachelor students may take up to five. Each course awards 3 credits (6 ECTS) which represents a total work-load of 135 hours for the semester, including 45 hours in class.

  1. French Classes

If French is not your first language, you can enrol in French language classes tuition-free at our popular Language School.

Two important points:

a)For the French as a Second Language and French as a Foreign Language classes, there is an activity fee of $92 CAN per 3-credit class.

b)For true beginners, you must enrol into 6 credits (2 classes).

c)Before your arrival, you will be contacted to take an online test to determine your level.

  1. Final Course Choice

A final list of available coursesand aLearning Agreement will be sent to students in mid-November for the Winter semester, and early April for the Fall semester.
