IT’S A BROWN DAY!!

ROSENBAUM FAMILY HOUSE: Harrison County High Schools have been asked to take up donations for the Rosenbaum Family House in Morgantown – This is a home where families with long term illnesses may stay for a very nominal fee. They are in need of the following items: baggies (all sizes), disposable aluminum pans, non-dairy creamer, dishwashing detergent, disinfectant spray, laundry detergent, sugar packets, Splenda/artificial sweetener, swiffers, liquid hand soap, dishwasher detergent, air freshener, brooms, dust pans and mops, miniature toiletry items, basic office supplies, small bingo prizes, nonperishable food items, condiments, etc. Please help LINCOLN is a great contributor to this organization! We will have grocery carts out front for your donation until Friday, October 24th!!

TODAYS ANNOUNCEMENTS:

1. Community Care of West Virginia – our school based healthcare offers hours on Tuesday afternoon and all day Wednesday.

2. CREDIT RECOVERY: We will offer credit recovery each week on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. Students must have a ride home at that time. Any student needing to make up a credit should see one of the counselors for an application.

3. TUTORING: The National Honor Society will again offer tutoring. The tutoring is Tuesday and Thursday mornings @ 7:00AM. Students who would like to request tutoring must see Mrs. DeBlossio by 2:00 the day before (Monday and Wednesday)

4. The Literacy Volunteers of Harrison County (LVHC) will once again sponsor Free Homework Help and Tutoring for the school season.

5. The LHS Cougar Cheerleaders are sponsoring a trip to New York City on December 20 at a cost of $110 per seat. If interested please contact a cheerleader, Mandy Brown or Candy Toothman.

6. CAMERON WADE: Mrs. Hawkins and Megan Earnest are selling bracelets to help the Cameron Wade Family. The bracelets are $3.00 and say “Cameron Strong.” Please see Mrs. Hawkins or Megan Earnest at lunch.

7. The Harrison County College Fair will be TODAY, October 16 from 6-7:30 pm at RCB. This is open to all students and parents. A $500 scholarship will be awarded to one lucky participant

9. UHC AUXILIARY is now taking application for Junior Volunteers for the 2014-15 school year. A student must be 14 years old and have at least a 2.5 GPA. Students wishing to be volunteers may pick up an application from one of the counselors.

10. RAZE: An important RAZE meeting will be held Friday during 1st lunch in room 207. We will be discussing upcoming kick-off in Morgantown.

11. SWIM TEAM SIGNUPS: Swim Team signups will be held until this Friday. See Mrs. Hausvater or sign up in room 216

12. LINCOLN SCARFS: For Sale in the Office - $20.00 cash – see Mrs. Tucker or Mrs. Votaw

13. Mrs. Votaw needs to see the following students in the office: Chase Fortney, Jacob Pritt, Reanna Muscar and Delani Watson.

14. The Lincoln FFA is selling Steve Evans Sausage. Orders are due by October 28th and delivery will be on November 11th. Please see Mr. Sollars or any FFA member to purchase.

15. ATTENTION ATTENTION: The annual PINK OUT NIGHT football game made $274.18 and all money will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Thanks to everyone that helped!!!

16. CHRISTIAN CLUB: Meeting during both 1st and 2nd lunch in Mr. Ramsey’s room. Also, first prayer meeting this Friday during 2nd lunch in Mrs. Wolfe’s room.

17. ACT PLAN: October 27 – 8:00 am – approximately 11:00 am

LHS PROM FUNDRAISER INFO

AA Teachers and Students:

As a fundraiser for the 2015 Prom the Junior Class will be selling candy apples/popcorn balls to be delivered at the end of the school day on October 31. Cost of the treat will be $5.00. Students will be called out of class at the end of the day to pick up their treat in the commons area on Halloween. Please tell your students in AA if they would like to purchase the treat - the junior class will be selling them during both lunches. Selected students of the junior class will be selling the treats, helping Mrs. Smith make the apples/popcorn balls and deliver them on Halloween. Let’s make Halloween and the prom a huge success this year!!
