- Extensive knowledge of and experience in managing the operations of a learning organisation in a complex operating environment with significant regulatory requirements.
- Demonstrated knowledge of the current Registered Training Organisation regulatory and funding environment in Victoria and current reforms.
- Significant experience in pursuing profitability and revenue growth.
- Significant leadership and management capability, including the ability to provide for adequate direction, leadership, and staff development to strengthen capability, motivation and productivity.
- Demonstrated effectiveness in driving business planning and performance.
- Demonstrated experience in ensuring teaching quality and client service standards.
- Highly developed verbal and written communication skills including a demonstrated ability to work constructively with a diverse range of staff and external stakeholders.
- Ability to use advanced problem solving skills to mitigate risks relating to program delivery, planning, and achieving required program outcomes.
- Qualifications in a related discipline, and/or significant experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.

Position Description /Accountabilities
- Manage the operations of Field, including overall responsibility for process effectiveness, task allocation, budget management and reporting for the Training Administration staff and trainers.
- Provide outstanding leadership to the team to deliver innovative teaching courses and service to a range of students and clients in collaboration with the Learning Development Manager
- Manage all priorities and action plans to deliver the strategic business plan of Field and respond to changing market conditions effectively through effective financial reporting
- Contribute to the development and execution of long-term business plans and strategies, specifically in areas of revenue generation.
- Lead the Training Administration Team in the administration of all training programs and activities, develop and manage trainers effectiveness and grow capabilities in teams
- Contribute to Field's engagement with sector organisations that lead to ongoing financially sustainable training partnerships.

- Take reasonable care of their own safety and health and that of co-workers, clients and visitors.

- Be familiar with emergency and evacuation procedures and the location of first aid kits, personnel and emergency equipment, and if appropriately trained, using emergency equipment.
- Ensure that remedial action has been taken in relation to all incident and injury reports, near miss reports, hazard reports and safety inspection reports within their area.
- Ensure OHS Performance is incorporated into the performance appraisals of employees for which they are accountable.
- Ensure Emergency Equipment is available and maintained as required within their areas of responsibility.

- Lead all operations of Field including the Training Administration Team, and the Trainers and Assessors, including overall responsibility for task allocation, detailed budget management and reporting.

- Lead the Training Administration Team in the efficient management of all operations including :
- all training programs and activities, program scheduling, student lifecycle management, training material preparation and maintenance, regulatory compliance, compliance reporting, customer satisfaction, student completion targets, funding and payment administration, audit preparation, and customer service activities.
- Ensure excellence in teaching and client service standards through the framework for Review of current learning and assessment strategies.
- Identify gaps and contribute to the improved capability of all trainers to deliver excellence in all programs, including blended learning programs
Engagement /
- Effectively engage with clients, students, internal stakeholders and related external agencies in the operations of Field.
- Support business development activities and reporting through participation in the overall business targets and goals of Field.
Business /
- Understand economic drivers and the broader financial environment in which Field operates, and use well developed financial decision making principles and commercial judgement in all tasks
- Contribute to the forecasting of the overall budget, including the Training and Training Administration Team budget, manage spending against budget expectations.
- Grow Field’s profitability through aligning all operational initiatives to improve business performance, course profitability and training delivery revenue.
- Manage course provision models that optimize educational quality, use of resources and course viability.
- In collaboration with other managers, develop briefs for product development, provide validation and guidance through the development cycle.
- Ensure efficient delivery of all contracted: state, federal, commercial delivery and other fee for service activity and manage, monitor and assist in developing the educational profile of Field.
