Camp Pathway parents,

A few things I’d like to alert you of for this summer. First of all, we have a new registration and payment method instead of campminder. We will be using reliafund as our financial piece for camp. I have attached the auto deposit and the credit card authorization forms. If you would like to pay with either of these methods, please email one or both of the forms back to us. We will also leave them on our website for your future use. If you have other questions about that, let us know.

Early registration will be from March 1st -March 31st . For every week you register in that time period, it is a $15/week registration fee. From April 1 on the normal registration fee will be $25. We did have issues with people not registering for camp and still bringing their children last summer. If you don’t pre-register, there will be a day of registration fee of $35 instead of $25.

The theme this summer is go into all the world. Each week will have a different country as a theme. We will be doing activities from the countries and hopefully meeting people who have been to those countries. Once you see the list of countries, if you have been there and would like to help out with ideas, we’d welcome your input.

Pre-camp and Post-camp Information

Pre-camp (7:00-9:00 am) and post-camp (4:00-6:00 pm) hours provide supervised recreation at NO ADDITIONAL COST for children of working parents.

Pre-camp does not open until 7:00 am, and no camper may be dropped off prior to this hour.

Post-camp closes promptly at 6:00 pm. All campers must be picked up by this time. If campers are not picked up by 6:05, it will be $1/minute after.

Campers are dropped off at the designated “drop off site” in front of the Camp Pathway Gym between the hours of 7:00 am and 9:00 am. Please be sure to park in a parking spot, not in the round about where it could disrupt the flow of traffic. Children may be picked up at the same location anytime during the day, as well as between the hours of 4:00 pm and 6:00 pm. Campers can be signed out before 4:00 by stopping at the office.

If an emergency prevents parents from picking up their child before 6:00 pm, they must call the camp office at (477-3383 x 167 or 477-3331).

Field Trips

There MAY be a point this summer in which your camper would get to go on a field trip. If so, there are some safety rules that apply. Because we only use 15 passenger vans, there will never be more than 13 campers transported in a van. Groups leaving our campus require 2 staff per vehicle who are currently trained in driver safety and group management. Staff members chaperoning trips off campus must ensure campers are wearing their seatbelts and stay in the vehicle until the final destination is reached. Staff member who is acting as a passenger must control the noise in the vehicle to ensure the driver is not distracted at any point during travel. Staff members must always perform a head count before entering the vehicle to ensure all campers are accounted for. A list of campers who are attending a trip off site, a permission slip, and an emergency contact are kept in the camp office as well as with one of the staff members traveling with the campers. The ratio of staff to campers is always maintained per age of the campers involved in the trip.

As always, if you have any questions, please let me know. Can’t wait to see your kids!

Karl
