Asking Price: Euro 225.000 per unit ex mill floor, already dismantled as is where is basis
Two Niigata lean-burn gas engines type 18v26HX-G running hour 60000 and 51000.
Generators AVK 50 HZ 3,2 MW power 10,7 KV pr. Unit.
Heat produced pr. Unit is 3,6 MW
Electrical efficiency 36,8 % on natural gas 39,6 Mj/M3N
Heat efficiency 50 % also on natural gas.
The power plant has been running as combined heat and power (CHP) units in a Vegetable Growing Company.
Both engines were running until week 49 year 2003 and are now stored in a heated building
Running hours are 56.000 (8.000 hours after overhaul) and 48.000 (16.000 hours after overhaul).
No main switch gear, panels engine wise, no transformers

General Condition Report

Engine no.
Maintenance: 56000 h (8000 h) carried out December 2002.
Cyl. Heads
Reconditioning of cyl. Heads. Grinding and lapping of valves and seats. Cleaning of PCC nozzles and bodies.
2 pcs. EV seats and 1 pcs. AV seat changed.
At the next maintenance the valves, seats, guides and PCC nozzles should be replaced.
Cyl. Liners
Reconditioning of liners. Cleaning and rehoning. 1 pcs. Of liner changed because of dimension.
Max. Inner dimension is 250,5 mm.
At the next maintenance 4-6 pcs. Of liners should be replaced based on the dimension after reconditioning (ref. Dimension records).
Pistons
Reconditioning of pistons. 1. Ring groove is close to max. Dimension and should be considered carefully at the next maintenance. 2. to 5. Ring grooves are OK.
Crankshaft
Crankshaft journals are polished, OK. Crankshaft deflection is checked after mounting a new Stromag coupling, OK (ref. Crankshaft deflection record.)
Connecting rods
Con. Rod Cyl. A7 changed due to damaged bolt thread. All other con. Rods reconditioned. Stress marks between bottom end and con. rod removed.
Camshaft
Camshaft visually inspected, OK.
Main bearing
Main bearing no. 2 disassembled for inspection. Very good condition.
Turbocharger
Disassembling and check of the turbochargers, bearings and bushings OK. Dynamic rebalance of the rotor shafts.
At the next maintenance the turbochargers should have a major overhaul.
Condition
The engine is in good condition. All the recommended service jobs have been carried out on regular basis. The next maintenance is the major overhaul (64000 h). Additionally the camshaft bearings should be replaced at 64000 h maintenance.

Cyl. heads
Cylinder heads nr. FNI26209 og FNI26210.
Exhaust valves, exhaust valve seats og exhaust valve guides are changed. All bore holes fore exhaust valve seats are measured and recorded. Rotor caps fore exhaust valves are changed. Intake valve guides are measured with gauges from both sides and found okay. Intake valve seats are changed and intake valves are measured, grinded and lapping. The mounted rotor caps on intake valve- and gas/airventiler are used again. Pre-chamber point tip PCC1 are changed. Pre-chamber spacer PCC2 are controlled and glass-cleaned.
All other cylinder heads besides the already mentioned.
All valves, valve seats and guides are changed. All bore holes fore valve seats measured and recorded. Pre-chamber point tip PCC1 and spacer PCC2 are changed. All rotor caps are changed. New rotor caps on all intake valves and gas/air valves. All valves are measured, grinded and lapped.
For all cylinder heads.
All cylinder heads are overhauled and all tolerance are controlled according to Niigata “clearance and wear table”
fore Niigata 18V26HX-G code 94E93005A.
All valve springs are controlled and found okay.
All valve spring locks are changed.
All cylinder heads are checked with water pressure on waterside and found okay.
All rocker arms are controlled according to Niigata “clearance and wear table” fore Niigata 18V26HX-G code 94E93005A.
All cylinder heads on engine nr. 21128 are now complete updated to new type according to Niigata’s service memos.

Pistons
All pistons are overhauled and all tolerances according to Niigata “clearance and wear table” for Niigata 18V26HX-G code 94E93005A are controlled.
There are smaller marks/vear on a few piston pins. .
All piston rings and oil scrabe rings are changed.
Wear off piston rings
1. Compression ring, general 80-100 %
2. Compression ring, general 40-50 %
3. Compression ring, general 20-30 %

there was in general much sod on piston top over 1. Compression ring.
Cyl. liners
Cyl. liner nr. 665, 779, 663, 671, 677, 687, 664, 679, 405 og 397 are honed and mounted in cyl. A3, A8, A1, A4, A5, A7, A2, A6, B2, B1. All mentioned cyl. liners are measured according to Niigata ”clearance and wear table” fore Niigata 18V26HX-G code 94E93005A. All measures keep the tolerance, but a few liners are closed to wear limit. Look at note 4.
New cylinder liners nr.743, 731, 26, 27, 23, 21, 22, 28 are mounted in cyl. B1, B2, B4, B5, B6, B7, B8 and B9.
Piston rods
All piston rods tolerances are controlled according to Niigata “clearance and wear table” for Niigata 18V26HX-G code 94E93005A.
Piston rods bearings are controlled visual.
All lube oil borringer controlled and flushed.
All piston rods bolts are tighten to marking.
Stress marks are polished in borringer fore piston rods bearings.
All piston rods bearings are changed. Engine is mounted wit oversize bearings with parts no. V4A21061A ”cam wear”..
Camshaft
Camshaft are controlled visually and is okay. Camshaft axial clearance are controlled and is okay.
A-side 0,22 mm og B-side 0,21 mm.
Valve rocker arm
All rocker arm rods are controlled and is okay.
All sleeve pieces, rolls and axels are changed.
Main bearings
The tighten off main bearing bolts are controlled and is okay.
All main bearings and guide bearings are changed. Main bearing type is Zollern (BHW) part no. W4C13051A and Niigata guide bearings are part no. V4C13075A.
The replaced main bearings was in very good condition.
Turbochargers
Both turbochargers are overhauled.
Turbocharger A-side radial axel clearance is 0,41 mm, axial axel clearance is 0,26 mm
Turbocharger B-side radial axel clearance is 0,37 mm, axial axel clearance is 0,29 mm
All bearings in turbochargers are changed. Labyrinth seal in compressor side is changed in both turbochargers.
Lock air ducts are controlled and cleaned. Turbine is glass cleaned. Compressor is washed.
Both turbochargers are balanced dynamic by ABB.
Charge air cooler
Is welded in one corner because of stress in metal.
Crankshaft
Crankshaft is controlled fore ”cam wear” and polished.
Auto log is made see note 2.
Lube oil pump
Lube oil pump is controlled. Bearing clearance is controlled and is okay.
Stromag clutch
A new clutch is mounted. Stromag type TEF 40000/70-S TRI.
Ignition system Altronic CPU 95
All pick-ups are controlled. Pick-up clearance are adjusted.
All spark plugs and terminal seals are changed.
Gear wheel drive crankshaft
Gear clearance lube oil pump / wheel gearing are controlled according to Niigata “clearance and wear table” for Niigata 18V26HX-G code 94E93005A and is okay. See note 3.
Motorcontrol
Complete SMC air cylinder fore A/F by-pass valve are changed Doc. No. DT9809-A/F.
Complete SMC air cylinder fore gas press. control valve are changed Doc. No. DT9809-20F.
Complete SMC air cylinder fore boost air temp regulator are tested Doc. No.DT9809-20B.
All “heavy fault” and “light fault” alarm are tested and okay, Doc. S-001 til S-038.
Complete P1/P2 pilot gas valve arrangement are overhauled. Both membranes in pilot gas pressure reg. is new ( 2 piec.) Parker counter valve are cleaned.
All Ni-Cr-Ni cable for exhaust temperature cyl is new.
Woodward UG-Actuator P/N 8250-960 S/N 2665649 are overhauled and tested by Woodward standard revision fore UG-Actuator.
Notes
Cylinder heads
All cylinder heads are now the newest type according to the development by Niigata and the results are very good. It is advisable still to adjust valves every 100 hour and to follow up on valve wear.
Cavitations :
There was cavitations in following cylinders A1, A2, A4, A5, A7, A8, B1, B2.
Like on engine nr. 28127 now is mounted new cooling water adapter between water chamber and cylinder head in
all A-side. This is because of good results on engine nr. 21127. Hereby is the cooling around cylinder liner better.
Bearing
Main bearing was in very good condition. Piston rod bearings was in good condition but must still be changed every 8000 hour running if engine load is between 90-100 %.
