This is just a quick newsletter to accompany the schedules that you will need in May and June. A few reminders have been repeated from the last Newsletter.
Winter League Results
All the leagues proved successful again this winter even although we had to cancel a couple due to the bad weather. Unfortunately there was only one competitor in the Mini Dressage League so no real result for that league but horse and rider will have benefited from the experience.
The Showjumping League Trophies and overall rosettes are to be presented at the Spring SJ Show at 1pm so please come along to receive yours. The Dressage awards will be presented at the Dressage Derby Day on the 26th April about 1pm. Uncollected rosettes will be kept in a caravan at the club field for members to collect.

The Area dates for this year are as follows
7 June – Area 22 Horse Trials at Knock Farm, Huntly (hosted by Findon Riding Club)
4/5 July – Area 22 Dressage and SJ at Brechin (hosted by Stonehaven & Strathearn Riding Clubs)
The next team talk date is Sunday 26th April at 1pm at the club field. Please come along to find out what being in a team is all about. It is essentialthat members come to one of these dates in order to be eligible for teams.
Ernest Dillon Clinic/Area Training.
The Ernest Dillon weekend over 28th February/1st March was very well supported. 4 groups of 4 riders benefited from an hour and a half lesson each day, flatwork then jumping.
The club subsidized the weekend, and Area 22 gave £100 towards the hire of the new outdoor school at Auchlishie.
We can apply for another grant from Area for training this year, so if you have any suggestions, please contact any committee member.
Using Club Field
Members can use the club field outwith main club activities but must follow these rules:
- let Ali know in advance (07753441434).
- be accompanied to field.
- park considerately.
- pick up poo.
- leave field as found ie if jumps were to the side then put back. Report any damage just so we know.
- consider ground conditions ie do not use if too wet.
Writers/Helpers Needed!!
We will need at least two writers for each of the dressage leagues and Derby Day. We will also need helpers for the Summer Show. Please phone either Debbie or any committee memberto volunteer.
If members want the committee to continue to organise the current high number of events then more help is needed. Please volunteer!
