2017 Summer Reading Program
The 2017 summer reading program is designed to motivate our students to read throughout the year, as reading is essential to building lifelong readers.
Directions
· All students entering Kindergarten through Grade 12 are eligible for incentives/awards!
· Students should keep track of their daily reading time (in minutes).
· Parents/Guardians should sign and verify students daily minutes.
Turn-In & Award Dates
· Students should drop off their reading logs on the following dates to be eligible for prizes!
o Thursday, June 22 at River Valley Elementary School (Spring Green) and/or
o Monday, July 31 at River Valley High School (Registration Day)
Incentives/Awards
June 23, 2017 – River Valley Elementary (Spring Green) Main Office
Reading logs can be turned in at any time during the week, but must be turned in by 9 am on Friday, June 23 to be eligible for incentives/awards below.
· The first 100 students that turn in a reading log on Thursday, June 22 will receive a one-day pool pass to the Spring Green Village Pool!
· The top 2 elementary (K–5) readers on June 22 will receive 2 Mt. Olympus Water Park tickets!
o Elementary (K–5) readers on June 22 that rank 3rd through 12th in total minutes will receive a 6” inch sub from Subway-Spring Green!
· The top 2 Middle & High School readers (6–12) on June 22 will each receive a VIP (2 free games) pass to Ultrazone Laser Tag in Madison!
o Middle & High School readers (6–12) on June 22 that rank 3rd through 12th in total minutes will receive one free game pass to Ultrazone Laser Tag in Madison!
o Middle & High School readers (6–12) on June 22 that rank 13th through 20th in total minutes will receive a Buy 1 Game Get 1 Game Free pass to Ultrazone Laser Tag in Madison!
July 31, 2017 – River Valley High School (District Registration Day)
Reading logs must be turned in by 6 pm on Monday, July 31 to be eligible for incentives/awards below.
· The first 100 students that turn in a reading log on Monday, July 31 at District Registration Day will receive a Free Culver’s Kids Meal!
· The top 2 elementary (K-5) readers will receive 2, 60 minute passes to Sky Zone Trampoline Park in Madison!
o Elementary (K-5) readers on July 31 that rank 3rd and 4th will receive a puzzle from the General Store in Spring Green! The 5th place elementary reader will receive a Madison Mallards baseball cap!
· The top Middle & High School student (6–12) will receive 2 tickets to American Players Theatre!
o Middle & High School readers (6–12) on July 31 that rank 2nd and 3rd in total minutes will receive a gift card to Wal-Mart in Richland Center!
o Middle & High School readers (6–12) on July 31 that rank 4th and 5th in total minutes will receive a pass for 9 free holes of Footgolf at Vitense Golfland in Madison!
