Brother William Dygert, Superintendent of Schools was introduced and welcomed

Brother William spoke to the FAC reps about the necessity of having representation from all the schools present. He explained the need to select a committee to rewrite the by-laws of FAC. Brother William presented a survey about the salary guidelines to the teachers to be filled out and returned while present. The survey will be put up on the web site for the rest of the teachers in the diocese to fill out and return. He expressed his desire to keep the issues at FAC meetings broad and on the diocesan level and asked for issues at the school and personal levels to be dealt with the proper on-site or diocesan office officials.

Dennis Butler thanked the teachers for participating in the diocesan Wellness Program and explained how the reduction in the deductibles works. The deductible is $750 for those who did not participate in the Wellness Program. Those who did participate in the Wellness Program will have a $500 ($250 each for employee and spouse) credit which will appear on the EOBs. Starting this year, physicals have to be scheduled between September 1stand June30th. New BC/BS ID cards will be sent out this week. BC/BS benefits run from September 1st to August 31st. The Wellness Program will continue. There is no increase in BC/BS premiums this year. The free Block Vision enrollment window for those who participate in the medical plan is now closed. Information and ID cards have already been sent out.
