T25 2013 Buck Toms Packing List

In your foot locker (labeled on on 4 sides with T25 and your name):

Sleeping bag with optional liner for extra warmth. It gets cold at night.

Sleeping pad –.

Pillow – it must fit inside the locker (Bernard, or can this be carried on the bus?)

Mosquito netting that is meant to hang over a cot (NO frame system is needed at Buck Toms)

Class A beige shirt – all adults at camp too!

T25 or BSA t-shirts – as many as you can round up

Scout shorts/pants – minimum of 2

Scout or green socks – if wearing shorts, need to be green

Undies for every day

Sleeping clothes

T25 hoodie/sweatshirt

Long sleeve “wick away” Patagonia shirt for layering if you have it

Red T25 cap

Swim trunks

Rule - any clothing that touches the body should be changed everyday

Tip - place one pair of undies, socks and a t shirt into a gallon size baggie labeled with the day of the week (T25 + name) on it. Dirties go back in the baggie to come home.

Hiking Boots

“Quick on” shoes – crocs or flip flops

Rafting shoes/backup shoes – Need to be close toed .They will be very wet and take time to dry out

Bag of items to convert Bus bag to turn it into the DAY Pack:

Scout book – for younger scouts

Merit badge books, blue cards, pencil – all in a baggie

Chapstick

Sunscreen

Bugspray

Flashlight/headlamp

Small portable fan for daytime

Hand sanitizer

Rain gear – jacket/pants combo recommended, but poncho acceptable

Several carabineers for attaching items to pants and pack

pocket knife

Extra batteries for flashlight or headlamp

Stocking hat for warmth at night

Ear plugs

Average size towel or lightweight camping towel

TOLIETRIES/SMELLABLES in a Sealed baggie/bag labeled with name, preferably the slider style. Will be collected and locked up from the bears J at night. (toothbrush, toothpaste, deodorant, shampoo, soap, etc)

Bus Backpack – a lightweight backpack. A REI flashpack was recommended, but a school bag is fine. When arrive at camp, will become their daypack.

Electronics/cell phones with a large baggie with name on it so they can be locked up when they arrive at camp AND names on every item!

Water bottle

Optional camera

Snacks for bus ride

$ for breakfast, lunch and snack on Saturday. ($ for return trip will be retrieved from troop bank)

No Camp Cot is needed

Optional Fishing gear – make sure it is properly labeled
MEDS – in a baggie with original bottles

PLEASE, PLEASE, label absolutely everything with a T25 – NAME!
