Notes on Personal Data
Purposes
1. The personal data collected by means of this request will be used by the Geotechnical Engineering Office of the Civil Engineering and Development Department for the following purposes:
(a) management of the Public Works Laboratories List of Contractors for Concrete Testing;
(b) maintenance of a register of staff approved under the aforementioned List;
(c) management of laboratory testing works carried out for the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region; and
(d) facilitating communication between the Civil Engineering and Development Department and your company.
2. It is not obligatory for you to supply the personal data as requested. However, failure to supply the requested data may affect your company’s position regarding entry to, or remaining on, the aforementioned List.
Classes of Transferees
3. The personal data collected may be disclosed to other Government departments (including the Housing Department), bureaux and relevant organisations for the purposes mentioned in paragraph 1 above.
Access to Personal Data
4. The persons under your employment for whom data has been provided have a right of access and correction with respect to personal data, as stipulated in sections 18 and 22 and principle 6 of Schedule 1 of the Personal Data (Privacy) Ordinance. Their right of access includes the right to obtain a copy of the personal data collected.
