Activity information :

-The activity that was observed is preparing Pourin (Lap splice rebars)

-This activity required the following:

  1. Equipment:
    Tower crane.
  2. Materials :
    reinforcement steel .
  3. SevenLabors:
  • Man 1 & Man2 : Transfer rebars
  • Man 3 & Man4 : apportion rebars
  • Man 5 : Lap splice rebars
  • Man 6 : Downloading the rebars from Tower crane & Control the movement of tower crane
  • Man 7 : Downloading the rebars from Tower crane

How the activity was performed :

The activity started when man 3 & man 4 were distributing the rebar , man 5 was lab splicing the rebar ,then the crane transferred the rebar from their location to the location. After that the man1 & man 2 started his work . Now man 7 & man 6 begin his work

The locations of the labors, equipment, and materials are closed together , what makes the work more effective and reduces the waste time in movement between resources.

Recommendations :

  • We can release man4 from this activity and give his work to the man2 worker to improve the productivity.
  • We can release man7 from this activity and give his work to the man 6 worker to improve the productivity.
