Common Core Study Group Modules (For Teachers)
Common Core modules are currently being developed by local TNCore Coaches from Shelby County Schools.
Modules will be completed and distributed to schools at least a week before the first scheduled Common Core Study Group on 9/20/2013.
Local school administration should select staff members to lead the different common core modules. If your school has teachers that attended the Common Core Summer Trainings, these teachers would be good candidates to lead these Common Core Study Groups. Local schools will need staff members for each grade level/department content area.
Teachers will engage with their own Common Core Study Groups within a school to complete each module including the Bridge to Practice. Each local school must schedule and complete all common core modules on the roll out calendar.
Schools may schedule these Common Core Study Group modules with times that are compatible with school and teacher schedules, either during the day or after school. Time should be allowed between Common Core Study Groups to allow teachers to complete the Bridge to Practice. Bridge to Practice activities are done individually and not during the Common Core Study Group.
