BOSTON AREA MG CLUB
2014 Faneuil Hall Car Show Series
INFORMATION SHEET
Because of the limited amount of space on the Plaza, all participants must pre-register. We are unable to accept any entries on the day of the shows. While this is a great opportunity to showcase your car and club to a whole new audience, there are a number of things that you must be aware of and agree to when you register for the show. We have put together this Info Sheet to answer your questions and give you a better understanding of what to expect.
- This is a pre-registered show only. Registration is available on-line at If you would like to register manually, please contact the Show Coordinator, Kurt Steele () , who will be happy to assist you.
- We are waiving the Registration Fee for this year’s shows and asking that participants make a donation in whatever amount they wish. All monies collected will go to the One Fund Boston to support the Marathon bombing victims. Thanks you in advance for your generosity. We are all BOSTON STRONG!
- If you register for one of the events, we ask that you give us a serious commitment to attend. Because we have a very limited number of spaces, no-shows will greatly diminish the event.
- This is an up close and personal show, being held in a very high traffic area. You can expect a lot of public interest, photos and interactions. This is not an appropriate venue for concourse cars or stuffy owners. Your vehicle will be touched, but we want you to “sell” your car, your club and enjoy all the attention. It will be like no car show you have ever attended…we guarantee it!
- The City of Boston and Faneuil Hall requires us to keep Fire Lanes and pedestrian walkways clear at all times. There will be space for you to set up chairs behind your cars.
- The Quincy Market area is a great family destination with lots to do during the show. While we encourage you to bring your spouses and families and to enjoy the location, we do, however, require that there be at least one person (capable of moving the car in the event of an emergency) with the car at all times.
- Clubs are encouraged to participate and will be given space in our Event Tent to greet the public and distribute their club literature (as space permits). Space may be available for a club to bring their own tent. Please talk to the Show Coordinator.
- All cars will enter and leave the show field as a group and must stay until the end of the event at 3:00 PM. It is logistically difficult and dangerous to move cars with large numbers of pedestrians around. Absolutely NO exceptions will be allowed.
- All cars will stage at the corner of State Street and Merchant’s Row (see useful links at the end) and should plan to arrive between 8:00 – 8:30 AM. You must be there no later than 8:30. Security will open the gates on Merchant’s Row by 9:00 at the latest and we will be escorted as a group onto the plaza. No late-comer cars will be allowed on the plaza after Security closes the gates.
- There are no ground clearance issues with the entrance or the plaza. It is quite flat.
- Cars arriving on trailers pose a special problem due to parking and loading concerns. Please contact the BAMG staff to discuss possible considerations.
- Please follow the directions of both the BAMG Staff and Faneuil Hall Security. They are there to help you and insure the safety of both the cars and the public. Volunteers from other clubs are welcome.
- Some shows DO NOT have a rain date, but in the event of bad weather, the rain date will be on a SUNDAY(check the schedule for specific dates). Please be sure you are available for both days and that we have all your contact info to keep you informed. Rain Date determinations will be made and communicated by 3:00 PM on Fridays.
- By participating in this show, you agree that this is strictly a voluntary event and that you agree to hold the BAMG, Faneuil Hall and all related organizations harmless for any and all damages that may occur.
We appreciate your interest in this very special event and hope that you can take advantage of this great opportunity to showcase your car to both auto enthusiasts and the general public alike. We expect a great amount of interest that only one of Boston’s premier tourist destinations can provide and look forward to seeing you there.
Safety Fast! & Thanks for Keeping Classic British Motoring Alive!
