5 racketeers arrested.

30 Fake Degrees/ Marks Sheets of B.A, B.Com, B.Tech., MBA, Senior Secondary School of Jamia Millia Islamia University recovered .

07 blank Migration Certificates of Jamia Millia Islamia University recovered.

Two Fake rubber stamps and Embossing logo stamp of Jamia Millia Islamia University recovered.

Twenty blank sheets, which were specially meant for preparing Mark Sheets/ degree certificates recovered.

Seven blank transfer certificates of Jamia Millia Islamia University recovered.

Many other incriminating documents including registration certificates of Transport Authorities of various states, VISA stickers, recovered.

A team of officers of Crime Branch led by Inspr. Parveen Kumar and consisting of SI Gyanender Rana, ASI Ved Prakash, ASI Hari Om, ASI Ramesh, HC Birender, HC Mohan, HC Mahesh, Ct. Sanjay, Ct. Vijay, Ct. Ravinder & Ct. Himanshu under the supervision of Sh. M.C. Katoch, ACP and Sh. Pramod Kushwah, Addl.DCP Special Team busted a racket involved in making of Fake Degree Certificates and Marks Sheets of Jamia Millia Islamia University, New Delhi. 5 racketeers have been arrested.

There was information that a racket as going on in Delhi in which some persons were selling fake degree certificates of Jamia Millia Islamia University at high rates to the interested parties. On the basis of these fake certificates, people were getting jobs in various call centers and private firms of NCR. This information was further developed and on 03.08.2011, Nimesh Pruthi (29 years) s/o Manish r/o A-1795, Green field Colony, Faridabad, Martin (35 years) s/o Michael Chung r/o A-1/75, 2nd floor, Freedom Fighter Colony, Neb Sarai, Delhi and Atif (28 years) s/o Wali Hussain r/o 161/13, 2nd Floor, Joga Bari, Jamia Nagar, Okhla, Delhi were apprehended while they were waiting in a Santro car No. DL-4CS-6622, for some customer to deliver fake degrees of B.A/B.Com at parking near Surya Hotel, New Friends Colony, Delhi. On search, 4 fake degree certificates of Jamia Millia Islamia University and 4 fake degree mark sheets of B.A/B.Com./B.Ed & 12th class along with other incriminating material were recovered at the spot.

During initial interrogation, the accused revealed that they got fake degree certificates and marks sheets of Jamia Millia Islamia University prepared from Rehan and Jitender @ Sahil of Okhla area by using Laptop computers and rubber stamps by scanning the original certificates. On the instance of these accused, raid was conducted at the residence of Rehanand Jitender. One Laptop, one Pen drive and other incriminating documents/material were recovered.

On further interrogation, the accused disclosed that they have sold more than 100 fake degrees/marks sheets of Jamia Millia Islamia University to various persons to get job in Delhi and NCR areas. Rehan and Jitender @ Sahil were the master mind behind the racket. After preparation of fake certificates, they handed these over to Nimesh, Martin and Atif to sell the same to the interested parties on a hefty price ranging from 50,000/- to 55,000/-. They used to procure paper sheets for preparing these fake documents from the street vendors of Chawri Bazar area, on furnishing sample and size to them. These racketeers have reportedly been operating since 2009.

A case under appropriate sections of law at PS-Crime Branch has been registered and further investigation is in progress.

Profile of accused persons :

1.Nimesh Pruthi age 29 years s/o Manish r/o A-1795, Green field Colony, Faridabad. He is working as Assistant Manager in Brand Realty Company, Sector-18, Noida.

2.Martin age 35 years s/o Michael Chung r/o A-1/75, 2nd floor, Freedom Fighter Colony, Neb Sarai, Delhi. He is working as FNB Consultant in Delhi.

3.Atif age 28 years s/o Wali Hussain r/o 161/13, 2nd floor, Joga Bari, Jamia Nagar, Okhla. He is working as facility help desk executive at Orange Business Services Telecom Company, DLF Gurgaon.

4.Rehan Khan age 26 years s/o Atimad Ulla Khan r/o 72, Vikaspuri, Meerut. He is working with a private builder at Batla House, Delhi.

5.Jitender @ Sahil s/o Balwant Singh r/o Vill. Chint Purni, Himachal Pradesh. He is previously involved in two cheating cases.

SENSATIONAL KIDNAPPING FOR RANSOM CASE OF PS GOKAL PURI WORKED OUT, KIDNAPPED PERSON RESCUED FROM CHAMBAL VALLEY, TWO ACCUSED PERSONS ARRESTED, LOOTED CAR RECOVERED.

With the arrest of two accused persons namely 1. Basant Kumar Sharma S/o Nathhi Ram R/o H. No. Village Sabora, PS Basia Arera, Tehsil Baha, District Agra, UP aged 26 years and 2. Hari Singh Sharma @ Pandit S/o Paras Ram R/o Village Kuddanna, PO Sonai Ka Gurja, PS Basai Dang, Disrict Dhaulpur, Rajasthan aged 52 years, the North East District Police has solved a sensational case of Kidnapping for ransom of a businessman having own travel agency. With their arrest, kidnapped person along with the vehicle has been rescued safely.

INCIDENT:-

On 30.07.11, Smt. Chotti w/o Bader Ahmad informed the police regarding missing of her son Farid Khan aged 30 years. On this, a missing report was lodged at PS Gokal Puri, Delhi. Later on, she suspected that her son Farid Khan has been kidnapped for ransom. On this the above noted case was registered without any delay.

TEAM:-

Keeping in view the gravity of the case, a dedicated team led by Insp. Karan Singh, SHO/Gokal Puri consisting of Insp. Bhaskar Sharma, ATO/Gokal Puri, SI Ishwari, SI Divyansh, HC Ravinder, Ct. Narender, Ct. Hansraj, Ct Gambhir Singh, Ct. Naresh, Ct. Varun, Ct. Rajender, Ct. Azad and Ct. Pramod under the supervision of Shri Ram Singh, ACP/Gokal Puri was constituted to solve the case and to apprehend the culprits.

INVESTIGATION:

Initially the case was totally blind but with painstaking and relentless efforts, various pieces of evidence, testimony and information were linked to solve the intrigue puzzle of the case. The background of victim was thoroughly analyzed to learn about his background antecedent and his past movement including last seen.

During course of investigation, call details of victim were analyzed and certain mobile telephone numbers were identified. A number of teams were constituted to identify accused persons. In no time police party was able to zero down accused Basant Kumar Sharma, who had called the victim with his car on the pretext of taking one patient to Khurja, UP. Numerous raids were conducted at all possible hide outs of the accused persons. On the basis of the electronic surveillance as well as local information, it was revealed that the accused Basant Kumar Sharma has gone to Dhaulpur, Rajasthan. Immediately a raiding party was moved to Dhaulpur. On the basis of the secret information, accused Basant Kumar Sharma was apprehended and arrested while he was driving the looted car Maruti Swift bearing No. DL- 1CL-4939 of the victim Farid Khan. Driving license of Farid and RC of the car were recovered from his possession along with one debit card of HDFC bank of the victim Farid.

During sustained interrogation, accused Basant disclosed that his brother Pramod was kidnapped by kidnappers of Chambal and after efforts for two months he was released after paying Rs. 7 lacs to the kidnappers through one Hari Singh Sharma @ Pandit. Due to which, they were economically shattered. He discussed the matter with his brother Pramod, who is BC of PS Basai Arera, Agra, UP having 7 criminal involvements. Pramod planned and provoked accused Basant to search for some rich party, who can pay handsome amount as ransom. Accused Basant selected Farid as a soft target as he was having three cars and all the family members having expensive mobile phones.

INTERROGATION:-

During sustained interrogation, accused Basant Kumar Sharma disclosed that on the day of incident, he along with his associates reached in front of Mohan Nursing Home, Yamuna Vihar and made a telephonic call to Farid Khan to reach in front of Mohan Nursing Home because they have to take one patient to Khurja. On the directions of Basant, Farid Khan reached at the place along with his Maruti Swift car No. DL-1CL-4939. Accused Basant along with his brother Pramod, brother in law Amit and another associates Pankaj boarded the car. Co-accused Amit posed himself as patient as he was having one Cannula on his hand. They departed for Khurja. On the way, they asked victim Farid to take Grater Noida route and thereon they asked him to take Nahar road of Khair Township. Thereafter they got down and hostaged the victim Farid Khan and tied him with ropes already carried with them. Thereon, they reached to Agra and forcibly asked code number of his debit card and withdrew total Rs. 22,500/- from his account from Axis Bank ATM, Agra, UP and also robbed cash Rs. 7500/- ATM card, Debit card, driving license, R/C etc.

Thereafter, they took the hostage Farid Khan to Village Kuddanna, on bank of Chambal river deep inside thick jungle and Beehad of Chambal and handed over the hostage to their counterpart Hari Singh Sharma @ Pandit for 10% of the amount i.e. Rs. 2,00,000/-. Thereafter, they made ransom call to the family member to pay Rs. 20, 00,000/- for release of hostage Farid Khan.

Further accused Hari Singh Sharma @ Pandit was also arrested in the case. During the course of interrogation, accused Hari Singh Sharma @ Pandit revealed that he is resident of village Kuddanna which is situated in deep dense Beehad jungles of Chambal valley. Kidnapping from ransom is common trade of the area. Recently, he had negotiated for rescue of the co-accused Pramod @ Pappi for Rs. 7,00,000/- as he is closely associated and known to active kidnapping gangs of this area being permanent resident of this area and used to play the role of negotiator between parties. On 31.07.11, accused Parmod @ Pappi, Amit, Basant and Pankaj handed over the hostage Farid Khan to him. He kept the hostage in his house tied with iron chain and lock and waiting for the further directions of the co-accused. During this period, he was negotiating with active kidnapping gangs of the area but could not do so as active and alertness of the local police. As per the planning, they had to hand over the hostage to some other active kidnapping gang on 05.08.2011, but due to timely and effective action of the police, hostage was rescued from evil clutches of accused Hari Singh Sharma @ Pandit.

During the course of enquiry, victim Farid Khan revealed that on 30.07.11, on the pretext of taking patient to Khurja, he along with his vehicle was hired by one Basant. On the way, he was dropped and made hostage by tying his hands. Thereon, they reached to Agra and forcibly asked code number of his debit card and withdrew total Rs. 22,500/- from his account from Axis Bank ATM, Agra, UP. He was confined in dark room under lock. For more safety, he was tied with iron chain with lock due to which he sustained injuries on both his hands. On 05.08.2011, he heard them that they are going to shift to some other known and active kidnappers of this area, but due to his good luck and timely action of the police of PS Gokul Puri, he was rescued and life was saved.

Further efforts are being to apprehend remaining co-accused persons.

PROFILE:-

Basant Kumar Sharma S/o Nathhi Ram R/o H. No. Village Sabora, PS Basia Arera, Tehsil Baha, District Agra, UP aged 26 years is 8th class passout. He is having seven brothers and one sister in his family. He runs his own taxi.

Hari Singh Sharma @ Pandit S/o Paras Ram R/o Village Kuddanna, PO Sonai Ka Gurja, PS Basai Dang, Disrict Dhaulpur, Rajasthan aged 52 years is studied upto 5th class. He is unmarried and having two brothers in his family. He is a farmer.

24MOBILE PHONES RECOVERED.

With the arrest of two mobile thieves namely Jitender(Age 20 YEARS) s/o Ramesh Chander and Krishan Giri(Age 21 yrs) s/o Lt. Hemraj Giri both resident of Mahesh Garden near Anaj Mandi Najafgarh, South-West District Police has worked out a case of mobile phone theft. 24 stolen mobile phones have been recovered from their possession, which are being linked up with the cases.

PROFILE OF THE ACCUSED

1.Jitender (Age 20 YEARS) s/o Ramesh Chander r/o Mahesh Garden near Anaj Mandi Najafgarh, has studied upto 12th standard and is currently unemployed. His father is serving in Delhi Police as a Head Constable.

2.Krishan Giri(Age 21 yrs) s/o Lt. Hemraj Giri r/o Mahesh Garden near Anaj Mandi Najafgarh , has studied upto 12th standard and also currently unemployed. His father expired in his childhood and mother has no control over his nefarious activities.

GIST OF THE CASE.

Complainant Sh. Anil Kumar s/o Sh. Dharam singh r/o VPO Madi Kehar, PS Badda, Distt Bhiwani Haryana reported that he is running a business in the name of AK Tours and Travels at Mahipal pur. On 3/8/11 a person namely Jitender booked a cab for Jaipur for 5/8/11. As per booking on 5/8/11, he brought the taxi No. HR 55 LT 5974 at Anaj Mandi where he met with two boys namely Jitender and Krishan who boarded and directed him to take the same to Mahesh Garden from where they had to fetch their luggage. When they reached at Mahesh Garden, they stopped the cab at the outskirt of the Colony where Krishan & the complainant got down from one side and Jitender got down a bit late from the other side. By the time the duo had shown their expertise of stealing mobile and purse from the taxi. As the complainant checked the dashboard of the taxi, his mobile and purse were found stolen. Promptly he raised an alarm and chased one of them. Finally he succeded in overpowering Jitender and produced him before the police. Stolen purse was recovered from the exclusive possession of Jitender. Upon this a case has been registered under the relevant sections of law at P.S Baba Haridas Nagar and investigation has been taken up.

OPERATION

In pursuance of the confession of Jitender, a dedicated team comprising SI Arvind Kumar, H.Ct. Balbir, Ct. Naveen and Ct. Vijender under the close supervision of Inspr. Rajbir Singh, SHO/BHDN, was constituted for the quick apprehension of his accomplice Krishan. Raids were conducted at his possible hideouts. The prompt action bore fruit and the accused Krishan was arrested from his dilapidated house.

INTERROGATION

The duo were put under sustained interrogation, who revealed that they are good friends and are residing in the same locality. They adopted a simple modus operandi to call a cab for tour and get the taxi driver engaged in talks and steal his articles especially mobile from the cab. In this way they have stolen more than 35 mobiles.

Accused Jitender got recovered 9 mobile phones and accused Krishan got recovered 15 mobile phones from their respective residences. They have confessed to have indulged in more than 35 incidents of similar nature. Sincere efforts are being made to link up all the recovered mobile phones.

RECOVERY

1.24 mobile phones.

Further investigation of the case is in progress.
