Welcome to Oracle Sales Cloud Analytics training for Release 9.

In this session we’ll talk about each of the R9 analytics enhancements.

These include sales executive dashboard, channel account manager dashboard, one click access to analytics, pre-built reports for sales activities, various subject area enhancements for sales activities, territory, user preferred currency, and granular data visibility of accounts.

Finally, we will also cover implementation advise as you look to implement these enhancements.

As a sales executive I need analytics to manage my sales targets, learn about exceptions, and take action based on analtytic insights.

The sales executive dashboard provides me with real time, actionable analytics. Out of the box, I can track Actual vs. Quota, Top Open Deals, Open Pipeline, Forecast, Leads generated, and my Team’s Performance.

The pre-built reports can be customized to meet my unique business needs.

I can easily track Key Performance Indicators that matter for my business. How far along is my sales team in meeting or exceeding its sales targets. What are the top open deals my team is working on? Which deals are stalled? Who are the top performers in my team?

Slide 46 - Pre-built Reports For Sales Activities

Pre-built activity reports provide sales managers and sales representatives’ insights about sales activities to better manage workloads and improve sales performance.

The set of pre-built activity reports in R9 are the follows: For the sales representatives, my open tasks and top accounts by my activities. For the sales managers, my team’s tasks on open opportunities, top accounts by my team’s activities, my team’s activities by type.

As a sales manager I can use these reports to monitor the sales activities of my team, monitoring the progress on opportunities still in the pipeline or identifying which accounts my team has had the most activity with.

As a sales representative, I can use these reports to better manage my activities and workload. I can view urgent tasks by workload for the upcoming week or month, quickly identifying accounts that have the most upcoming activities with and the types of activities, allowing me to plan needed level of sales activities to close an opportunity.

We have enhanced the Sales Activity reporting subject area with interactions, appointments and tasks now available under a single Sales Activity subject area.

Activities can be analyzed by account, opportunity, or lead and can be reported for both internal and external resources or contacts.

These enhancements enable a sales admin to create custom reports to manage all sales activities on account, opportunities for both internal and external resources or contacts.

We have added a new subject area to report on account and resources in each of the territories.

This subject area can be used to create reports on all the territories that a resource has been assigned too.

The subject area allows for the reporting of Accounts that have been assigned to a particular Territory, and also all the Territories that an Account has been associated with.

The subject area also allows the reporting of all the Resources who have been assigned to a particular Territory, and also all the Territories that a Resource has been assigned to.

In Release 9 we provide users the ability to report on opportunity revenues in either the corporate or the user preferred currency

Opportunities captured in foreign currencies are converted to the currency of the user’s choice in reporting. Sales users can use the default corporate currency for reporting or choose the option to view opportunities in their local currency.

Granular Data Visibility comes with a number of pre-built queries that can be used by any Account based reports

The prebuilt queries encapsulate the complexities to obtain Account by the different granular view , e.g. team view, territory hierarchy view, etc.

This feature allows Sales Managers who are involved in multiple teams and territory groups to get specific data views in BI, and therefore allowing better insight into the sales cycle.

This feature also improves report performance, as only data of specific visibility rules are returned in the report.
