Formed in Orange County, California duringthewinterof 2011 as a projectbetweenformer band matesJustin Bock, fellow-guitaristMike Entin, anddrummerWill Peacock, SPEAKING THE KING’SdemosquicklycapturedtheattentionofA DAY TO REMEMBERproducer, songwriter, andformerguitaristTom Denney (PIERCETHEVEIL, SECRETS), whousheredthebandintohis Florida-basedstudiotorecordtheirfirstarsenalofmusic. Withstudio time alreadybookedandlacking a singer, SPEAKING THE KING’Smemberslaunched a feveredsearchfor a vocalist. It was vocalistBobby Burap -who was recommendedby a mutual friend -whoclinchedthepositionasfrontman. Withhisveteranstagepresence, histalentto sing melodies, andabilitiesto sing in boththe clean andthe aggressive registers, noonecanblametheguysforchoosinghim. (Bobby’sweldingtalentsweredefinitely a bonus, as a touring band neverknowswhenthey’llsufferfrom a brokenaxle in themiddleofnowhere.)
Withinfivemonth’s time, SPEAKING THE KING’Sreleased a musicvideofor'One Foot At A Time,'touredthroughoutSouthern California,inventednewwaysto sin in Las Vegas, uppedthehighestrecordedtemperature in Arizona, andsharedthestagewithWE CAME AS ROMANS, OF MICE & MEN, WINDS OF PLAGUE, BLEEDING THROUGH andBLESSTHEFALL.
The band’sdebutalbum, »Carousel«, will bedroppingthis fall which was recordedwiththealmightySteve Evetts. Steveisnostrangerwhenitcomestorecordingmajoracts such asSUICIDE SILENCE, ARCHITECTS, andEVERY TIME I DIE. From massive breakdownstochorusesyouwon'tbeabletostopsinging, thisalbumhas a littlesomethingforeveryone. »CAROUSEL«isnothingshortofepicand will pair perfectlywiththeenergythatthe band leadswithevery live show.
