Dues: Dues for the semester are $10.00 until after the second meeting, when they will go up to $12.00.
A requirement of 15 Community Service Hours or 12 Community Service Hours with
3 Meetings attended must be completed by December 12, 2006.

- involves picking up debris and litter along Western Ave. from the entrance at campus to
Fuller Rd. and back.
September 26th (Tuesday) - UAlbany’s Study Abroad Fair
Where: LC HallwaysWhen: 11:00 am until 3:00 pm
Get ideas and information about studying abroad through Albany or another SUNY program!
Representatives from many other SUNY campuses will be present as well.

- an after-school program with a mission to provide a safe and rich environment for kids
and teens to do homework and play games after school.
- members can assemble themselves near the Science Library bus stop at 1:40 pm to take the bus to the NYS Museum.
October 8th (Sunday) - Forest Rangers Educational Training Conference - Clarion Hotel Century House, Restaurant, 997 New Loudon Rd., Rt. 9, Latham
- two volunteers are needed to greet attendees and answer general questions about
Albany at the hospitality table.
- volunteer slots run from 9:00 - 11:30 am, and 11:30 am - 2:00 pm

October 11th and October 12th (Wed. and Thurs.) - 2006 Technical Conference and Expo - Crowne Plaza

- two volunteers are needed to assist with registration and greeting the attendees at the
hospitality table.
- volunteer slots run from 11:30 am - 2:30 pm and 2:30 pm - 5:00 pm on Wednesday, and
8:30 am - 12 noon on Thursday.

The PHS St. Peter’s Hospital Volunteer Program is looking for a new chairperson at the end of this
semester, since ours, Robert Parker, is graduating.
Anyone interested in chairing PHS’s St. Peter’s Hospital Volunteer program please e-mail Robert
Parker () a little blurb (a single paragraph will do) that speaks to your background; your current academic and future career goals; why you think you would make a good chairperson to the program, and anything else you wish to include.

T-Shirt Contest:
- since t-shirts will now be required for all PHS projects, we are holding a contest to see what the
design will look like.
- the design can be any one color ink, on any color t-shirt.
- the winner of the contest will receive a$15 gift card to Apple iTunes.

New Hours System:
- starting this semester, all hours will be recorded online and must be submitted to the hours
coordinator by 12/12/06 in order to count for this semester.
- if a PHS member fails to obtain the required amount of hours, or fails to fulfill their commitment to
follow through on a PHS project twice, they will no longer be considered a member in good
standing (please refer to attached member profile for further explanation).
