2-5 pm Fundamentals in the PSQIA Protections. This session will provide attorneys and litigators with best practices in the implementation of the protections in the Patient Safety Act and Patient Safety Act litigation. PSQIA case briefing will be discussed and cases analyzed.

2-5 pm Best Practices in Designing an Effective PSES for Providers and Developers who are Members of a PSO.This session is tailored for providers and HIT developers who are members of a PSO, who are interested in designing and implementing an effective, legally robust PSES in the least disruptive manner. The session focus is on processes necessary to protect patient safety event reports and analysis such as root cause analysis. Innovative programs and practices will be discussed. Helpful PSES templates and tools will be provided.
