The college chairperson and a few students representing NSS participated in channel show named Counterpoint telecasted by Manorama News on 3rdjuly 2016. The purpose was to give students an exposure to express their opinions on social issues. This activity was organised in collaboration with the NSS Unit of the college
IFTHAR FEST
An ifthar fest was conducted on 11th july 2016 by the student’s council members
FILM AUDITION
On july 20th 2016 an audition for a movie was conducted in the campus by the famous Malayalam movie director ABRID SHINE and crew for selecting a heroine for one of his upcoming movie.
FRESHERS DAY
Freshers day was conducted on 16th August 2016 which Served as a platform for the display of the talents of the first year students.
ONAM CELEBRATION
The college students’ council for the year 2015-16 conducted the Onam celebration on 9th September,2016, maintaining the flavor of tradition. Competitions and programmes were held as a part of the celebration.A minute of silence was observed before commencing the day remembering late Professor Julie of the department of Malayalam who passed away on .The department of Mathematics bagged the first prize for the Pookalam competition. The winners of the Malayalimanka competition were:

SIGNATURE-2016
The first instalment of the inter-collegiate short film competition was held on 30th September 2016.The fest was inaugurated by renowned filmmaker Jude Antony Joseph who helmed films like Om Shanti Oshana and OruMuthashiGadha. The short films were screened in the college auditorium. The prizes for the winners were presented by film director NithinRenjiPanicker who headed the judging panel along with Titto.

STUDENTS’ COUNCIL AND ARTS CLUB INAUGURATION
The official inauguration of the newly elected Students’ council took place on 8th November, 2016. The chief –guest for the day was Padmabhushan Justice K.T. Thomas .The members of the council pledged their loyalty and duty to the college along with the motto –‘Strive, Serve, Inspire’.
The Arts Club was inaugurated by famous National Award winning music director, Gopi Sunder.
Xaverian Queen contest and a thematic show on the theme ‘Women and Nature’ was held on the same day.

The youth festival for the academic year 2016-17,PRATHIBA-2016 was held on 19th ,20th and 21st December. Students showed great enthusiasm and spirit of participation. A poster making programmeon the theme of the youth festival was conducted on 16th December prior to the arts day. AksharaA.B. of the Dept. of Commerce Regular won the title of Kalathilakam .The Dept. of Commerce Regular scored the highest points in the competitions.

CHRISTMAS CELEBRATION
The Christmas celebration was organized on 22nd December. The college altogether immersed in the joy and fun of the celebration of nativity. Several competitions like Carol singing, Holy Family Presentation, Christmas tree decoration, Star making, X’mas wreath making saw the participation from almost every department. The day was made sweeter with the distribution of cake to the students.
