• Setting up Photoimpact(only have to do once)
  • Open Photoimpact
  • Under Window, select Customize

  • Select Commands
  • Click and drag desired commands to toolbar at the left side of screen

  • Hit Close
  • Move your new toolbar where you choose
  • Scanning your worksheet
  • On copy machine, hit Scanner
  • Select your name
  • Select Sender Name on bottom of screen

  • Select your name again
  • Hit OK
  • Select Send File Type/Name on left side of screen

  • Single Page: TIFF/JPEG

  • Hit OK
  • This is optional, but necessary if plan to do anything with color:
  • Select Scan Settings on left side of screen
  • Select Full Color: Text/Photo
  • Hit OK
  • Hit the green start button
  • Save Scan:
  • Open your email. There should be an email with your name listed as the sender (check the junk mail if it doesn’t come up in your inbox)
  • Select Download under the small picture of your scanned worksheet
  • Select Save
  • Name and save to folder

  • Open PhotoImpact
  • Go to File tab
  • select Open
  • find your scan and highlight it
  • Hit Open
  • Go to Edit tab or use customized toolbar
  • select rotate and flip and adjust as needed
  • Maximize the sheet (top right corner)
  • Zoom to 33% or as high as possible to fit screen

  • Click on the box and move just slightly; this will automatically make it a moveable ‘object’

  • Use to grab an ‘object’ (the word(s) or picture(s) you previously made moveable)

  • If checked: a copy of the ‘object’ will remain after you move it
  • If not checked: the space will be blank after the ‘object’ is moved

  • Make as many copies of the ‘object’ as needed
  • Make your ‘object’ then hit Duplicate button for as many copies as you need
  • Merge All
  • Needed when using multiple functions together
  • For example, when moving objects to blanks then wanting to color in spaces
  • Caution: you want to complete the moveable object portion first. After you hit “merge all” they will then become the background and no longer have the ability to move
  • Text to Objects
  • Able to type your own text using tool then make it a moveable ‘object’ using tool
  • Saving a Modified Worksheet
  • Go to File tab
  • Select Save As

  • *****Save As Type*****: UFO (Ulead File for Objects)
  • If you don’t do this, your ‘objects’ will not be moveable when you open it!
  • Hit Save
