Tournament Setup

  • A tournament may only have two divisions. You may have any combination of doubles, mixed doubles and singles, but not all three. For example, you can have doubles and mixed doubles, mixed doubles and singles, or singles and doubles.
  • You may have only singles or doubles playing at any given time, not both divisions. As a best practice you may want to have singles in the morning and doubles in the afternoon.
  • Players are limited to one event per division.
  • Players are limited to a 10 minute warm up for their first match of the day, and a five minute warm up thereafter.
  • A round robin or compass draw is required. A tournament director may use their discretion in choosing which draw to use.
  • A tournament should charge no more than $25 for one event and $30 for two events.
  • The head tax still applies.
  • Sunday should be reserved as a rain/makeup day.
  • The Tournament Director may limit draw size at their discretion. If the draw size is to be limited, it must be noted on the tournament page and it must be first come/first served.

Scoring

  • Short sets must be used.
  • A short set is the first to four games, with a 7-point tiebreak used at four games all.
  • A 10-point tiebreak will be used in lieu of a third set.
  • No-ad scoring may be used at the discretion of the tournament director. If no-ad scoring will be used, this must be noted on the tournament home page.
  • Pro-sets are not acceptable.
