UNDER CONNECTICUT STATE LAW, EACH PERSON SHALL ASSUME THE RISK AND LEGAL RESPONSIBILITY FOR ANY INJURY TO HIS OR HER PERSON OR PROPERTY ARISING OUT OF THE HAZARDS INHERENT IN EQUESTRIAN SPORTS PER CONNECTICUT GENERAL STATUTE SECTION 52-557p, A COPY OF WHICH IS ATTACHED HERETO.

WHEREAS, the undersigned acknowledges the inherent risks involved in riding and working around horses, which include risk of bodily injury from using, riding, or being in close proximity to horses, among other risks, and

WHEREAS, the undersigned acknowledges that both horse and rider can be injured during normal activities,including but not limited to riding, competition and/or schooling;

NOW THEREFORE, in consideration ofbeing granted the privilege of riding and/or

working aroundhorses owned by or boarded at Treasure Hill Equestrian Center, LLC, or any other horse or horseson the premises, the undersigned does hereby agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless TREASURE HILL PROPERTIES, LLC (THP) and/or TREASURE HILL EQUESTRIAN CENTER, LLC, (THEC), itsmembers, employees, trainers, contractors, students, affiliated organizations or businesses, other agents of THP and/or THEC, and its insurers and further to release them from any liability or responsibility for accident, damage, illness, or death to the undersigned or any horse owned by the Undersigned, or to any family member or spectator accompanying the undersigned on the premises of THP and/or THEC, intending to invoke the provisions of CGS Section 52-557p, as the same may be amended from time to time.
