  • I will show students all the resources and will tell them about these resources. I will tell students that today they are going to make balloon powered dinkies.

Main Activity:
*I will assist students in making balloon powered dinkies. I will ask them to fill the balloon up with air through straws attached at their end.
Instructionsto make balloon powered dinkies
-Cut off lip of balloon and the straw in half.
-Stick straw into the balloon and tape it on the top of the dinky.
-Blow up the balloon through straw.
-Place finger at mouth of the straw.
-Set car down on a smooth surface and let it go.
-I will ask students to observe how dinkies move when they let go of the mouth of the straw.
Wrap up: I will ask students about their experiences.

  • I will ask students aboutthe properties of ants.
  • I will show them resources and will explain how to make ant hills in a pyramid shape.
Main Activity:
*I will give students A4 size papers with ant hills in a pyramid shape already drawn on them. I will apply glue on hill. I will give some sand and will ask them to sprinkle it on the glue.
*I will ask the children to dip their finger tips in the paint and stamp it on the paper. I will ask them to make more of these prints by stamping where they want their ants to be. I will give them markers to make antennas and legs of these ants.

Wrap up: I will ask students about their experiences to make ant hills.

*I will read ‘r’ story again and will emphasize on the words begin with ‘r’. I will draw the shape of the letter ‘r’ on the board. I will sing ‘r’ song with students.

  • I will give students flashcards of 2D shapes and will ask them to put the flashcard into the respective column on the chart paper.

Wrap up: I will ask students about the properties of 2D shapes.
