New fitting from FST for Chevrolet and GMC pick-ups with 6L80 & 6L90 six speed automatic transmission for years 2013 – 2015 and Ford F250 & F350 Diesel 2011 – 2015 with 5R110W and 6R140 transmissions

The problem servicing the transmission fluid on these vehicles is the new fluid is blocked by the thermostat and will not flow back into the transmission. The new fluid cannot be fed into the top of the dipstick tube because the speed of this exchange will cause the fluid to backup and spray back out. This fitting allows you to push the new fluid right into the transmission pan, preventing backflow, bypassing the thermostat and allowing for a quick easy service.

Part # 15130 with instructions $69.00

1)  For GM vehicles, connect the normal GM fittings (15012 & 15112 green color coded) on the front left driver’s side at the radiator as per normal. Most of these trucks will have an external cooler with a solid steel line from the top of the radiator to this cooler. Because this line is inflexible, you will find it easier to connect to the fitting on the lower part of the radiator.

For Ford vehicles, disconnect cooling line with disconnect tools where most accessible, often on the right underside at the heat exchanger. Connect fitting 15103 on one side and ½” soft hose and multi stepped adapter over the line for the other side.

2)  Connect both your clear braided hoses to these two fittings.

3)  Remove the dipstick and push the tube on new fitting all the way in until the coupler is resting on the top of the dipstick tube.

4)  Start vehicle as normal to determine the direction of flow. (which clear braided hose fills with ATF) If there is no obvious flow, use you thumb to depress center plunger on male coupler on the end of your clear braided hose. This will allow air to escape and determine which line to connect to the machine. Shut vehicle off and connect the black service hose from your machine to this clear braided hose.

5)  Connect the red service hose to the new fitting you installed in the dipstick tube. Note: nothing is connected to one of the clear braided hoses. It simply acts as a block.

6)  Restart vehicle and run service as normal.
