Activities: / All classes will use the standards embedded Career Connections Learning Strategies across all topics and subjects.
Teachers will implement activities that connect to careers at a developmentally appropriate level.
Starting in 6th Grade, students will meet with their career advisor a minimum of once per semester to discuss academic and career pathway opportunities. /

  4. 6th Grade students meet with Career Mentors from area businesses and industries.
  5. 6th grade students tour future learning opportunities with a focus on career preparation.
  6. Advise 6th grade students of their Learning Style Survey results and help develop linkages to career options.

Timeline: / All classes will be using the embedded career strategies throughout the school year.
Before developing a Student Success Plan, district staff will invite the student’s parent, guardian or custodian to assist. If that adult does not participate in the plan development, the district will provide the adult a copy of the plan, a statement of the importance of a high school diploma and a listing of the pathways to graduation available to the student. / Students will create their Ohio Means Jobs account before the end of October 2017.
Students will go on career related field trips in the third and fourth quarters of the school year. Career Fair will be completed in May. / Teachers will use their school resources and tools throughout the year. Students will use the Ohio Means Jobs K-12 Backpack as they complete their work in their Ohio Means Jobs account.
