Further to your request made to NHS Castle Point & Rochford CCG, NHS Thurrock CCG and NHS Southend CCGfor information relating to the above and pursuant to the Freedom of Information Act 2000, please see the organisations response below:

Please provide the following information:

- contract penalties/'fines' issued since 1st April 2013

- broken down by value by provider organisation by reason

- the value of contract penalties being challenged by provider organisation

- the total estimated value of contract penalties expected to be issued during the 2013/14 year

In response to point 3 above. please note: Until an agreement has been reached with the providers the full values are being challenged. There is a detailed reconciliation process which involves agreeing the detail behind challenges and fines.

NHS Thurrock CCG –

If you are dissatisfied with the response you have received, you have the right to request a review of our decision or make a complaint about how your request has been handled. Your request should be made within 40 working days of receipt of this letter, and we will reply within 20 working days of receipt. Any such request received after 40 working days will only be considered at the discretion of the organisation.
