These materials have been written and/or compiled by Elementary Education students in their senior year at Lenoir-Rhyne University in Hickory, North Carolina for the Little Read during the fall semester of 2011. These students volunteered to participate in this project under the leadership of Dr. Monica Campbell, Professor of Elementary/Special Education. In addition, select teachers from the partnership schools volunteered to assist these preservice teachers by sharing ideas, co-developing activities, and editing the work.
It is our sincere hope that this collection of resources and materials will be used to support instruction before, during and after the visit by Lynne Cherry this spring. Every attempt has been made to properly cite compiled resources and to edit for errors in writing conventions. We apologize for anything we missed during the editing process.
