Class Of Their Own – Activity Planner/Administration Assistant

Pay: £6.50 per hour

Hours: 16.5 per week to include 9am – 2.30pm on a Monday, other days can be negotiated. The role can be done in conjunction with After School Club hours.

Job Overview

Class Of Thier Own provide After School, Holiday, Babysitting and Party services for children aged 4 – 11 in Brighton, Hove and West Sussex. The role of Activity Planner/Administration Assistant is currently available. The Activity Planner/Administration Assistant will work in the company’s Head Office in Hove, and will be responsible for assisting with all aspects of the company’s business.

The Successful Applicant Will Need To Have:

  1. Experience of work/play with children of primary age.
  2. Ability to work as part of a team
  3. Ability to work on own initiative
  4. Professional telephone manner
  5. Good use of Microsoft Office, especially Word and Excel
  6. Friendly manner
  7. Ability to effectively organise their workload
  8. Ability to undertake a diverse workload
  9. Good interpersonal skills
  10. Flexibility
  11. A full driving licence

The Role:

  • Undertake weekly deliveries and collections to the company’s After School and Holiday Clubs
  • Be responsible for ordering, sorting and distributing supplies for the all clubs and the office
  • Plan and buy resources for varied and interesting Holiday Club activities, including OwnZone activities for juniors
  • Plan and book Holiday Club trips and workshops
  • Manage party service including planning, staffing and administration and develop ‘Party in a Box’ initiative
  • Deliver marketing material to local schools
  • Be responsible for maintaining a clean, tidy and professional environment in the office (including weekly trips to the tip)
  • Maintain the resources in the store
  • Frank post and take to post box daily
  • Email snack menus
  • Undertake administrative duties in all areas of the company’s business e.g. printing, laminating, creating folders etc
  • Update After School and Holiday Club budgets
  • Provide telephone cover as appropriate
  • To willingly carry out other duties as requested
