CampbellHigh School Fundraising Policies*

All CampbellHigh School individuals, organizations, and teams wishing to conduct fundraising activities must receive prior approval for their project/event fromthe Campbell High School Fundraiser Calendar Manager (Nathifa Carmichael). Fundraising may not proceed until written notification has been received. Prior to seeking approval, please be advised of the following policies:

  • Fundraising events will not involve candy sales.
  • Simultaneous fundraising that directly conflicts with the sales of another organization is prohibited.
  • Fundraising events will be aligned with the 2009-2010 CHS student policies and expectations and the 2009-2010 Teacher Handbook.

Recognized Purposes for School-Related Fundraising

  1. Supporting activities of school organizations, teams or clubs.
  2. Supporting activities that benefit the student body.
  3. Providing supplemental funds that help defray the costs of optional activities that support school programs.
  4. Providing supplemental materials or equipment that enhance the instructional program or the administrative functions of the school.

Participation in fundraising activities is voluntary. No student will be excluded from an event or program because of non-participation by the student or their parents. No student shall be forced, coerced or otherwise unduly pressured to participate in fundraising activities. Likewise, no reprimand, condemnation nor criticism will be made of any student who does not participate or succeed in fundraising.

Collecting Funds

Any monies collected are to be issued a receipt and turned into the bookkeeper, Kathy Riggins. All deposits and balance inquires are also made through the CHS bookkeeper. Please be advised that deposits are to be made daily.

Directions for Submitting a Fundraising Application:

  1. Access CHS Online Master Calendar
  2. Select Fundraising Calendar
  3. Note the date the fundraiser will begin and the start/end times
  4. Select ONE “Repeat” option that is most applicable:
  5. Never

or

  1. Note the number of times the event will repeat

or

  1. Note the date the fundraising event will end
  1. Create an event title that includes organization name and fundraiser (example: Varsity Hockey Team Stuff-A-Bear-A-Thon)
  2. Create a description that includes ALL of the following:
  3. where the fundraiser will be held
  4. a brief description of the event
  5. what will be sold
  6. Note the sponsor name and email
  7. Submit Event

Upon submission, the fundraising calendar manager(Nathifa Carmichael) will review your event. If approved, the event will be posted to the Online Fundraising Calendar. If the event is not approved, the sponsor will receive notification and the Fundraising calendar manager will contact the sponsor with an explanation and possible remedy.
