Presentation:

I was born with a fearless tolerance torisk and due to my extremely advanced mathematical skills have been ability to calculate and analyze odds rapidly. I have always been competitive, but not in the traditional sense, as in trying to beat the other person, but instead I am trying to beat myself by constant improving in what I am doing. I use this competitiveness in the market place and in sports, although my sport of choice was not athletic, it was poker. I always wanted to be one of those champions on TV winning the World Series of Poker, and I came close when I cashed in the EPT in Barcelona. Ever since I took my first school trip to Europe I also fell in love with international travel, which is why I now live in Spain now. I did this by way of going to a cooking school, even though I did not necessarily want to become a chef. I just wanedt a legal visa to work and live in Europe. I knew from a very young age when I was told I had an IQ of 162 that I would never have a normal type of job and live a normal type of life. I am a natural at surviving, making money, and finding opportunities with a +EV(Expected Value) due to my high Iq and the ability to process large amounts of information at an extremely fast pace and learn languages, which is why I speak 5 languages. I have learned to adapt like an Iguana to fit into any situation, as long as it drives me forward with motivation. I first found trading in 1998 when I started trading at Schonfleld Securities as a proprietary equities trader and instantly fell in love . As I mentioned in the beginning I was born to take risk (what some people mistakenly call gambling) and to rarely let my emotions affect my objectivity. My career path has been a very interesting one, as you will see in my resume. I took a break from trading between 2004-2012 while I was a Chef at many Michelín starred restaurants, but my entrepreneurial instincts soon kicked in. So I started my own business in the culinary field, but soon realized that the reward for succeeding in the culinary business are not at all for me personally satisfying. More so than that, I just loved trading and the mental challenge is gives me too much and was always looking for a way to get back in.

10-1998 /10-2004Schonfeld Securites

Chicago, IL, USA

Proprietary Equities Trader New York based firm, but I worked in the Chicago office. I started in late 1998 and by 2000 we had over 500 traders in the chiago office. Then after 9/11 and the internet bubble burst, we were reduced to just the last 8 successful traders and I was one of these last 8. Eventually between 2003-2004 the volatility in the market dried up, but I still was still profitable, although nothing compared to prior years. Aslo at this time the market was changing and Schonfeld was not providing us with any kind of education on how to adapt to this new market. My Best day was $52.000, and my worst day was ( -$8,500). My best year was around a half a million. My buying power stared at $100k and 100 shares and I worked my way all the way up to 5 million in buying power with 10,000k share per trade allowance. Throughout my 6 years at Schoenfeld I had an overall gain of .495 average dollar per share (ADPS), which for the volume I was trading was the second best in the Chicago office. I also temporarly had the priveledge to sit next to and work with Dmitry Balyasny, now owner of Balyasny Asset Management, who is one of the most successful traders in the world. He is responsible for over a quarter of Steven Schonfeld´s net worth. The year I sat next to him he daytraded his way to 65 million dollars in the year 1999. I didn´t want to copy his trades, but instead I wanted to get inside his head and try to learn how he thought, how he prepared pre-market, and to review why he did what he did when we talk after the close. At Schonfeld I was extensively trained to use relative strength by finding stocks that were over or under performing the overall market. We also trading a momentum exhaustion based strategy finding stocks that would overreact and create price/volatility overextentions to take advantage of, but most importantly our bread and butter wastrading big gap openings. After almost two years of watching the market basically go sideways (between 2003-2004) with virtually no vix or volatility to take advantage of, and also with no help of education from Schoenfeld to help us adapt to this new and changed market. I decided to pursue another dream of mine and moved to Europe to attend a very famous cooking school. I love livingin Europe and cooking, but I have never been so happy as when I was a trader, except when I am playing poker (my other profession). However I have more passion for the equities market than poker, but the mentality, discipline, and risk management skills are very similar. I believe that trading is what I was born to do.

Professional Poker Player:I have been mostly a live tournament player for the past 9 years. I have 1 EPT cash in Barcelona and have won numerous tournaments in the Barcelona casino with prizes of between 3,000-12,000 Euros. I am also a cash player but I mainly use this as training for the first three levels of a tournament. I play online as well, but have always made more money as a live player. Biggest online accomplishment was what they call ¨el classico¨ in Spain with over 6 thousand players and came in 1st place without offering a deal to anyone. From having experience in both trading and poker I realized that the instincts and discipline, as well as being risk tolerant, are all valuable assets to have mentally. I also write article on day trading for stockprofessors.com, give classes on day and swing trading, and have a few high net worth clients that I personally coach to help improve their knowledge on trading and how the overall stock and options markets work.

And Options TraderI am a low risk/high reward trader booking intra-day 3-5 R trades with only risking about $800 per trade on a million dollar account. I have evolved into an opening bell specialist using strategies that take advantage of how the HTF´S/Algo´s work in the first 45 minutes with multiple time frame confluencefor longer term intra-day swing trades and big gap openings. I like to trade the stocks that are in play, and I believe that a strict morning ritual plan is necessary to being involved in the right stocks of that day. I use the classicread the tape, from the quotes and time and sales to improve my timing, which reduces my risk. AlsoI have found a new service helpfulcalled level III total-view, which shows the entire order book instead of just the NBBO as level II only permits. I am a strategic trader, whom times into my positions by reading the tape, as I believe that reading the order flow isan underrated skillthat is needed as a base foundation to succeed in the long-term. Not an overload of technical analysis BS with way too many indicators. Yes you have to understand technical analysis, but to have a firm understanding of the fundamentals of the intra-day market; to me is one of the most important skills of all. I mostly just use charts just to identify important key inflection points of support and resistance, becauseif you can learn to read theorder flowand knowin your head where the support and resistance is, then you can find low risk trades. I also believe that having: a proper money management, risk control, and position sizingtrading plan is the key to long term success in this business as well, but most of all discipline. I have a written business plan for my trading strategies. I have been through every type of market: Since 1998 I have experienced trading in a raging bull market, followed by a panic bear market, nonvolatile range bound markets, and of lately the HFT/ALGO controlled market, and have managed to be profitable in all environments. The problem that I have with WTS Securities isthat they are very unprofessional and do not provide the proper education to adapt to the constantly changing market that is necessary to survive and succeed in the long term in trading. They onlytrade mergers and acquisitions, so they do not have anyreal diverse experience in trading. They have no fundamental knowledge of how the intra-day market place works. I am the only person there that has ever had an actual series 7 license and has made a six figure year in the whole office. This is not the environment that I want to be in. I simple love trading too much to no let myself succeed and evolve into the best possible trader that I believe I can be. I would rather be around other experienced professionals to mentor and help me growby providing thepositive energy that is necessary to become a better trader, and a better person. WTS is not that place and it´s not a good fit for me.
