Hours of work: / Your hours of work will be as per your contract of employment. A full time role equates to 37.5 number of hours per week not including breaks
Flexibility is required to meet the needs of our business
Salary: / £24,000 – £27,000 salary per annum, based upon experience

Your mission:

  • To be responsible for the planning of successful fundraising events
  • To be involved in the promotion of the charity
  • To be first point of contact for fundraisers and fund holderswishing to fundraise

Your Job….

Role specific responsibilities:-

  • To identify, plan and co-ordinate a calendar of fundraising activities and events for the Charity
  • Promote and raise the profile of the charity within the Royal Free Trust Hospital and wider community
  • Build relationships with hospital staff and Special Purpose Fund Holders

(What we are looking for)

We can’t live without….(essential)

  • Proven experience of meeting fundraising targets through event and activity fundraising
  • Proven experience of organising small and large scale events
  • Proven track record of being able to work independently to an agreed work plan
  • Good numeracy skills and confident handling moderate sums of cash
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and interpersonal skills with an ability to deal with staff, volunteers and public
  • Proven experience to train and support fundraising volunteers
  • Honest and trustworthy
  • Good problem solving skills
  • Ability to prioritise, organise and manage workload effectively whilst dealing with unplanned interruptions
  • Excellent IT skills
  • Ability to adhere to Charity and Trust policies
  • Available to work occasional weekends and evenings
  • Knowledge of good working practice in community fundraising and event management
  • Degree level qualification orequivalent or previous proven experience in a community fundraising / events administrator role

  • Increasing fundraising income through event opportunities and supporter participation
  • Developing and organising a calendar of fundraising events, including administration of charity-wide events
  • Increasing royal free charity awareness and support within the hospital and local community
  • Developing a portfolio of supporters / fundraisers stories
  • Increasing social media support and local media presence

“The How”

  • Proactive identification of fundraising opportunities
  • Proper planning and marketing of activities
  • Acquiring knowledge of products offered by the whole charity
