***Directions: Thoroughly answer ALL of the below questions and practice your answer orally. Instead of a paper and pencil test on the American Revolution, I will ask you 5 questions: you pick 1; I pick the other 4- 1 from each section. You will be graded on the rubric discussed in class. Comps will done in class while your working on the American Revolution Performance assessment-will be explained later.

Section 1: Early Years of the War

1.  Explain the different perspectives (Patriots, loyalists, moderates, & British) towards the American Revolution

2.  Describe the early years of the American Revolution. Briefly describe 3 battles including at least 1 American Win.

1.  Explain why the war shifted to the South and describe the military battles in the South (Charlestown & Camden) Also, discuss key players in the southern battles and the new fighting methods used in the South.

2.  Explain how the “Tide of war turned” and Nathanael Greene’s role in turning the tide

3.  Describe the battle that ended the American Revolution.
