Coordinator

Purpose

Purpose:

Coordinate online leasing and contract administration processes to maximize housing occupancy at UT Arlington. Responsible to perform database management functions to support housing operations. Supervise student staff and clearly communicate policies and information to achieve departmental objectives.

Essential Functions

Function 1:

Leasing and Contract Administration: Coordinate the online housing and meal plan application and contracting process. Works with the Leasing Consultant Staff to maximize occupancy in university residence halls and apartments. Maintain leasing activity calendar. Coordinate assignment of departmental scholarship recipients. Negotiate, prepare and execute leases for selected properties. Research and implement best practices and perform activities in compliance with Fair Housing Laws.

Function 2:

Database Management: Configure database to properly assign residents in accordance with preferences. Develop custom queries and execute auto allocation of residents in accordance with departmental rules. Develop custom reports for routine and adhoc use and analysis. Develop and retain reports for historical reference and analysis. Leverage software to reduce manual processes and increase efficiency and effectiveness. Work closely with software provider and Manager, IT to resolve software issues.

Function 3:

Supervision: Hire, supervise, train, and evaluate student assistants. Train staff and students on housing software.

Function 4:

Communications: Composes complex and professional correspondence which clearly communicates departmental objectives. Presents information related to housing and dining to other departments, prospective residents, and parents. Documents policies and procedures related to leasing operations. Work with both students and parents on web portal training and technical issues.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's Degree. Professional experience working in business management, finance, real estate, contract negotiation, rental housing, hospitality, information technology, or related environment. Successful completion of Excel 2010 proficiency test. Experience with Excel 2010 (pivot tables, conditional formatting, graphing, Vlookup, nested formulas, linking spreadsheets, and other ribbon bar functions). Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously while maintaining superior results in each area. Excellent administrative, customer service and communication skills. Preferred Qualifications:

Master's Degree. Proficient in the use of StarRez or similar comprehensive student housing management software system. Knowledge of one or more relational database managers (Access, ORACLE, SAP, SQL Server). Experience in developing advanced Excel 2010 spreadsheets (pivot tables, conditional formatting, graphing, Vlookup, nested formulas, macros). Ability to edit SQL reports a plus.
