FOURTH ANNUAL PANERA BREAD PUP WALK AT THE WATERFRONT SCHEDULED FOR SUNDAY, JUNE 9

Pittsburgh, PA, June 3, 2013–Panera Bread is kicking off their fourth annual Panera Bread Pup Walk that will be held at the Waterfront on Sunday, June 9 at 10:00 a.m. The two mile fun walk for dogs and their owners will continue to be led by Charlie and Latasha Batch with proceeds benefitting The Western Pennsylvania Humane Society (WPHS). Collectively, the first three years of the campaign enabled Panera Bread to donate over $38,000 to the WPHS.

“I am honored to be able to be a part of the Panera Pup Walk. I believe in supporting shelter animals and the things the Humane Society does to help these animals find homes. This event is a fun way to involve the community and make a difference,” explained Batch.

The event includes a two mile fun walk for dogs and their owner along with various vendors, raffle prizes and dog-friendly games. In celebration of the event, pet owners will also have the opportunity to dine conveniently outdoors on the Panera Bread Patio with their pets after the Walk.

Pet owners are highly encouraged to pre-register online at www.panerapupwalk.org or register on the day of the event beginning at 9:00 a.m. The event will be held in the Town Center area of the Waterfront, near the Panera Bread café.
