Position Description:

Full-time Tenure track Division of Nursing faculty member engaged in teaching,

  • Created active learning/teaching scenarios (Unfolding Case Studies) for second year medical-surgical course to utilize
  • Created a Professional Development Workshop for SGSC nursing faculty. Areas addressed in the workshop related to survey results that faculty submitted. Survey was created using google docs.
  • Created simulation scenarios to engage students in an active learning environment to facilitate safe health care practices.

  • Developed Mentor and Orientation tool to be utilized by full-time and part-time nursing faculty.
  • Evaluated and updated nursing admission tool based on statistical data collected from previous years.

  • Projects include: “Blessing Bags” for the homeless, food drives during Thanksgiving and Christmas to be donated to families in need, adopting a family at Christmas, offering blood pressure checks to the community, promoting health (Breast Cancer Awareness), donation supplies to Hospice House, bake sale & raffle tickets to raise money for Relay for Life, participate in Relay for Life in Waycross, provide in-service to college students about the dangers of texting and driving.
