EVIDENCE-BASED PRACTICE:
UPDATE FOR NURSES IN SCHOOL AND AMBULATORY CARE SETTINGS

Participants are requested to park at The University of Washington E-1 campus parking lot: http://www.washington.edu/home/maps/northeast.html

To find the designated parking spaces, please refer to directions on the following page. Look for the white Children’s shuttle that will take you on the five-minute journey to the hospital. The shuttle picks up near the east end of the row of planters that bisect the E1 lot. The shuttle service runs every 5-7 minutes from 5:30am-9am and from 3pm-8pm. There is no “in-and-out” parking for this event. If you leave during the day, you cannot be re-admitted.


DIRECTIONS TO E-1 PARKING AT THE UNIVERSITY OF WASHINGTON CAMPUS

From Seattle Children’s:

Turn left onto Sand Point Way NE.

Turn left onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive. Go one block to Clark Road and turn right.

Go approximately 0.3 miles. There will be an attendant at the entrance gate to the lot. Identify yourself as a conference attendee. Once inside the lot, go to the left and park in any of the rows immediately north of the first row of trees. Look for the white Children’s shuttle that will take you on the five-minute journey to the hospital. The shuttle picks up near the east end of the row of planters that bisect the E1 lot.

From the North:

Take I-5 South to exit #169, NE 45thStreet.

Turn left (East) at the stoplight onto NE 45th Street.

After passing the University of Washington, at the bottom of the hill turn left onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive.

Go one block to Clark Road and turn right. Go approximately 0.3 miles.

From the South:

Take I-5 North to exit #169, NE 45th Street. Stay in the right lane.

From the Eastside (Hwy 520):

Take 520 West over the Evergreen Point Floating Bridge

Take the Montlake exit (North) for 1.1 miles.

Bear right onto 45th Street. You will pass the University of Washington sports field on your right. Turn left onto Mary Gates Memorial Drive.

Go one block to Clark Road and turn right. Go approximately 0.3 miles. There will be an attendant at the entrance gate to the lot. Identify yourself as a conference attendee. Once inside the lot, go to the left and park in any of the rows immediately north of the first row of trees. Look for the white Children’s shuttle that will take you on the five-minute journey to the hospital. The shuttle picks up near the east end of the row of planters that bisect the E1 lot.

ALTERNATE COMMUTING OPTIONS

Share the Ride to Seattle Children’s:

Participants to the event can connect with one another on Ride Share Online, a state-wide database that lists drivers and riders to specific events. When you register on the website, you can list yourself as a driver to the event, or a rider. Either way you get a chance to share the ride! The event has already been listed, so all you have to do is sign up! http://www.rideshareonline.com/.
