Purpose Of Job
1. To lead on the development of improved communications for sharing learning and knowledge, and the arrangement and delivery of events and workshops for Efficiency North and Efficiency East Midlands members
2. To provide effective general project support and administration to the Efficiency North and Efficiency East Midlands project teams.
The post is for a fixed 1 year contract and is dependent on time limited external funding which has been secured for the Financial Year 2010/11. Subject to the success of the postholder in role and the availability of further funding the contract may be extended further.
SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES· Provide efficient and effective general project support and administration for the Efficiency North project team in relation to the delivery of Efficiency North activities. This will include:
· Minuting of meetings and compilation of meeting reports
· Chasing and following up on actions
· Compilation and manipulation/analysis of spreadsheets & data
· Creation of case studies, learning guides and communication information
· Word processing
· Arranging meetings and diaries
· To develop and lead Efficiency North’s communications strategy
· To enhance and develop the Efficiency North website and content management system, collating, preparing and uploading relevant content so that it becomes a core valuable and effective resource for members.
· Lead on the research, distillation and communication of industry developments and topical issues relevant to the members in relation to our workstreams.
· The preparation of electronic newsletters and emails highlighting relevant topical news and progress of Efficiency North against it’s workstreams.
· To lead on the establishment, preparation and delivery of high profile regional events and workshops for members.
· To develop press releases and develop and maintain communications relationships with members, regional and national bodies to improve Efficiency North’s profile.
· Seek and pursue opportunities to promote the success of collaboration and Efficiency North within the sector and act as an ambassador for Efficiency North identifying further opportunities to position Efficiency North at the heart of housing activity within the region.
· Maintain and develop the membership contact databases
· To develop close working relationships with consortium members, board members, the Efficiency North, Efficiency East Midlands and Re:Allies project teams, and influential regional and national bodies to ensure the ongoing success of Efficiency North.
· To undertake any other duties consistent with the purpose of the job as required by the EN project team.
· All duties and responsibilities should be carried out in accordance with agreed Council Policy and procedures, in particular the Council policies on Equal Opportunities and Health and Safety

MINIMUM ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS / METHOD OF ASSESSMENT /Skills/Knowledge
Strong written communication skills in a variety of formats
An ability in and knowledge of website content management is desirable
A high standard of written, oral and ICT communication skills is required
Confidence and good networking skills
Ability to work in partnership with all members of the consortium and external organisations
Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines
Experience/ Qualifications/ Training etc.
Experience of working on multi faceted programmes with a multiple client base
Extensive use of Information Communication Technology (ICT) systems to facilitate effective communication in a professional manner
Experience of preparing communication materials in a variety of formats in a professional manner
Experience in preparing and arranging events and workshops
Appropriate qualification or equivalent work experience in a marketing/communications and project support related role
Experience in providing administrative support in an effective and efficient manner to a team arrangement.
