Our sales trainee program is designed to support your professional development as you build product and market knowledge, strengthen your sales skills and gain practical experience through account management.
Your progress to a Sales Management role is assured, given that you meet the training and performance requirements of the position. Your advancement to a senior sales role will be supported by a foundation across in-house product training, mentoring, and externally accredited professional development courses.
This position is offered as permanent part-time at 2 or 3 days per week during semester, with additional work available over the Summer break.

Responsibilities /
  • Direct marketing activities including development and delivery of email campaigns, phone calls, social media posts, editorial and webinars
  • Recommend products and accessories to customers
  • Support our marketing team in the development of sales collateral including case studies, brochure content, and news stories
  • Actioning incoming sales enquiries and communications
  • Customer servicing involving both internal and external liaison
  • In field sales activities including installation and setup of demonstration units
  • Commit to achieve milestones in agreed training plan, incorporating both internal and external development opportunities

Qualifications and Skills Required /
  • Agricultural or Soil/Water/Plant Science qualification, or demonstrable deep knowledge and working experience in agriculture
  • Business acumen
  • Understanding of agricultural production systems, in particular irrigated crops
  • Working knowledge of agricultural technologies and the ability to communicate benefits to end-users, both verbally and in various media
  • Ability to research, write and present technical case studies that demonstrate product benefits to end-users
  • Ability to understand scientific concepts, interpret data, and communicate findings to different audiences in an effective manner to support sales development
  • Ability to confidently travel independently in rural areas across Australia, sometimes for extended periods
