Zonta Club of Jamestown

☐ MARY BARGAR SCHOLARSHIP: The Zonta Club of Jamestown proudly sponsors the Mary Bargar Scholarship, which is a financial award of $1,000 based upon merit, to a female high school senior who intends to continue her education and enter the professions. to become an educator.

☐ NELL NEWTON SCHOLARSHIP: The Zonta Club of Jamestown proudly sponsors the Nell Newton Scholarship, which is a financial award of $1,000 based upon merit and need, to a female furthering her education with the intention of making business her profession.

Application Requirements:

  • Female high school senior graduating from one of the following districts:

Bemus Point (Maple Grove), Cassadaga Valley, Chautauqua Lake, Falconer, Fredonia, Frewsburg, Jamestown, Panama, Randolph, Sherman or Southwestern.

  • Maintain an academic average of 85 or higher as verified by most recent transcript from your school.
  • Submit completed application by March 1st.
  • Solicit two letters of recommendation to be submitted by March 1st.Submission of twoletters of recommendation from adults not related to the applicant, such as teachers, school officials, employers and community leaders. Please include all letters of recommendation with the application, do not send separately.

Incomplete applications will not be considered for scholarship review.
