Role Summary

This role will take responsibility for recruitment coordination, administration and talent identification across casual and employed roles across the full Everton Family. Working closely with the HR People Manager and People Partners you will play a key role in bringing talent into the Everton Family, from advertising, shortlisting and interacting with candidates you will ensure that roles are filled within a timely manner. In addition to reactive recruitment you will adopt a proactive approach to talent acquisition, sourcing and building a pipeline of talent ensuring the Club has the right talent in the right place at the right time, minimising the need to use recruitment agencies and engage with candidates directly conveying the unique values and ethos of the Everton Family.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment administration
  • Provide a full administrative service to support resourcing activities for the Everton Family, as part of the HR team, to ensure delivery of a cohesive and effective service.
  • Answering all recruitment related enquiries, responding to all telephone calls, and managing e-mails delivered to the Recruitment mailbox.
  • Reviewing job descriptions as and when requested ensuring that they are aligned with Club template.
  • Creating job advertisement in line with key legal guidance and Club tone and style to share with the HR People Partners for review and approval
  • To manage the applicant tracking system and administration of this,
  • To ensure that any questions are asked via the ATS upon application
  • Provide reports and MI as requested on recruitment including, time to hire and cost per hire.
  • To provide all interview invites and correspondence with candidates regarding the interview process
  • To create a candidate interview pack highlighting key information about the Everton family, the values and culture and the interview process.
  • To support the HR People Manager in the creation of competency based interview templates ensuring our Club Values are front of mind.
  • To manage and oversee all correspondence to candidates including rejection emails and invites are sent promptly and provide an excellent candidate experience
  • To prepare interview packs with the people services team as required and scan following interview

  • Recruitment coordination and advice
  • To provide advice and guidance on job advertising including job boards and where best to place adverts
  • To review the market and keep a track of relevant job boards, meeting with and understanding costings to share with the HR People Manager.
  • To review and meet recruitment agencies as and when required with the support of the HR People Partner for the department under consideration.
  • To keep a track of applications received across all vacancies highlighting any with low interest and recommending ways to attract interest
  • Consider diverse media and job boards ensuring that our adverts are accessible for all.
  • To shortlist all roles based upon the advice and guidance given from the HR People Partner.
  • To ensure that all vacancies are filled within a timely manner
  • To participate in interviews for roles as and when required.
  • To provide support and input into interview questions and tasks as and when required
  • To provide thoughts and feedback on candidates as requested
  • To keep in regular contact with candidates ensuring an excellent candidate experience and journey
  • To advise candidates of the outcome of their application both via offer or with regret letting candidates know they have been unsuccessful
  • To keep in regular contact with candidates between offer and start date to ensure that they have a regular line of communication with the Everton Family
  • To play a key role in the onboarding of new starters
  • To oversee relocation and provide support as and when requested
  • To act as a disability confident ambassador

Talent Acquisition
  • To work with the HR People Manager to understand the resourcing challenges across the Everton Family.
  • To proactively source candidates using CV search tools and LinkedIn
  • To build a pipeline of talent ensuring that key talent is available for key roles across the Club
  • Keep up to date with the employment market gaining a deep understanding of trends and talent shortages
  • Use social networking and engagement via the Club employee brand to attract the passive job market.
  • Map the market, key roles and departments as directly by the HR People Manager,

Other Responsibilities
  • To take responsibility for personal performance and the development of personal skills to ensure the required skills, knowledge and competence to fulfil the role.
  • To manage the areas of responsibility attached to the post or commensurate with the role as required by the HR People Manager.

Skills & Abilities
Essential / Desirable
  • Very high standard of written English as well as professional communication skills over the telephone and face-to-face.
  • Excellent IT and technical expertise, with the ability to trouble-shoot technical problems.
  • Fluency in using HR Information Systems.
  • Friendly, professional manner
  • Ability to analyse and report on data.
  • Excellent organisation skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks and activities and prioritise work load accordingly.
