15/69 To elect a Vice-Chairman of the Committee

Cllr Kolek proposed that Cllr Alder be elected Vice-Chairman of the Committee. This was seconded by Cllr Hopkins.

Cllr Hopkins proposed that Cllr Wadsworth be elected Vice-Chairman of the Committee. This was seconded by Cllr Alder.

Cllr Alder and Cllr Wadsworth left the room

Members of the Committee voted and IT WAS RESOLVED to elect Cllr Alder as Vice-Chairman of the Committee.

Cllr Alder and Cllr Wadsworth returned to the meeting

The minutes of the meetings held on 5th May 2015 and 16th June 2015, having been circulated in advance, were agreed and signed as a correct record.

The following applications were considered, based on the information available. Participation of those Councillors who are also Members of the District Council in both the debate and subsequent vote is on the basis that the views expressed are preliminary views taking account of the information presently made available to the Town Council. The District Councillors reserve their final views on the application until they are in full possession of all the relevant arguments for and against.

Members were advised that a site visit had been requested by a neighbour and that this had been arranged for 10th July. It was agreed that Cllr Alder, Cllr Coombs and Cllr Wadsworth would attend the site visit.

Item 6. – Cranbrook Development Plan Document (CDPD) – a copy of the email from Mr Dickins had been circulated in advance of the meeting. It was agreed to support the matters suggested for inclusion in the Development Plan. In addition, the Town Council agreed to submit the comment that the infrastructure should be capable of handling the level of development. The Town Council would also wish to see the inclusion of allotments in the CDPD and queries whether provision for a Police Station and the Fire Service has been made.

Item 8. – The Deputy Town Clerk read the response from DCC Rights of Way regarding annual closure of Gittisham Footpath 2 for Honiton Show. It was agreed to pass on the response to Gittisham Parish Council for their information.

Item 9. – The Deputy Town Clerk read the reply from EDDC regarding submission of comments for tree application. The reply was noted.
