Boy Meets Girl

Great songwriting skills

Nice production. Great catchy pop song. It's not my thing but it's well done. In my ignorance you remind me of "They might be giants" - urr, ... in a good way?

I mean Elvis Costello - urr, but better singing? ... Anyway you don't need my criticism, you're clearly a professional and accomplished songwriting team; kudos to you.

Great tune

This is ready for big sales. The tune is very catchy and would appeal to many age groups. It has a timeless quality. The lyrics are clear, inviting and funny. Most should be able to relate. Production is perfect.

Cute

I like the intro, reminds me of baba o'reilly. I'm not a fan of the drum samples here especially the snare. Some great melodies and harmonies as well as good change ups, it's very catchy. It's like a toned down Pete Townsend song. The whole thing is just kinda cute. Good Job!

Old sound new song

This song reminds me of an Elvis Costello track, overall good song, nice vocals and great production not that it matters but it might not be as radio friendly because of its older sound but musically speaking great song!

Boy Meets Girl - 60's Euro Rock

This has a kind of 60's pop rock vibe to it, in a good way; though parts kind of make me think that this is Euro influenced pop rock. The vocals are pretty well done, but the harmonies at times sound a little weak. I'm digging the B3 in there. The instrumentation is well chosen, though I'd love to hear more variety in the clean guitar sounds. Nicely done, but this might have some room for some Tom Petty style twangy/vibrato guitar.....sparingly. The Chorus of the song is fine, but it gets a little bit repetitive. Aak - Renton, Washington

Now this is pop rock

What stands out in particular on this song is the production, which is top-notch. The song feels full and complete. Have you ever heard of The Pernice Brothers? This song made me wanna dance!

Kiddish

The way the bass bounces the fifths and the kick and snare play sounds a little corny in the verses, but it seems to work alright for the meaning of the lyrics. The song is actually well written in terms of the melody. The hook is memorable after the first listen and the lyrics are true to life. The production is a little washy sounding, but not so much so that it takes away from the song.

I love it

Wow, I don't know what it is, but this is just one of those songs that you love the first time you hear.

Simple but effective.

A truly great sound.

Great feel!

Nice one!

Good

Must say I love this track. I feel so much passion in it, really!

Sounds like 70's bands, that’s really a compliment!

Nice originality

To me, this was pretty nice original sound. The vocals sit a little low in areas, but still... I liked very much. Would have been nice to hear the background vocal stray from the lead occasionally for a little added flair. Lyrics are simple yet effective. I really liked the way the drum beat changes up.

Catchy and Engaging

Right from the first few seconds of this track, I knew I would like it. The instantly catchy melodic hook with the lyric, "boy meets girl" draws you right in. The background vocal harmonies in the chorus are fantastic. The slapped guitar rhythm really keeps the song moving along and your head bopping with it. You've got a winner on your hands.

Something to work with

So far so good. Does get a little repetitive. Vocals are good, if a little affected (not "effected"). I don't know what else to say except Elvis Costello singing with XTC.

Well Played

Catchy song! I think this is one of those songs that makes more sense if you’re in love. And it also follows my #1 rule about music...Keep It Simple Stupid! Well played!

Boy meets 70's

Had a definite 70's flavor. I could hear this as a theme song for a sitcom like Joanie Love Chachi. Nice production though. Happy go lucky song. Rock on.

Bouncy fun

This has a very mellow pop kinda sound. The vocals are good, but the song at times feels a little like it’s geared toward kids. But it’s still a good song.

REMINDS ME OF ELVIS COSTELLO

INTRO REMINDS ME OF OLDER CLASSISC SONGS. VOCALS AND LYRICS REMINDS ME OF ELVIS COSTELLO. DECENT POP SONG. IT'S CATCHY. NICE MUSIC AND VOCALS

Pleasant, mostly

60's pop style in some ways, catchy tune in itself but the staccato rhythm in the verse is a bit too exaggerated I think. The lyrics are a bit too naive and simple for me, that is, where I can make them out -- the lead vocals could be stronger and clearer in the mix. Otherwise pleasant little thing.

I love this song

I love this song, some very simple guitar arrangements (The Byrds spring to mind) but very hooky. With simple but effective lyrics making it a potential hit.

Well...

This is not my cup of tea, but this a very good performance with good production. A very good song!

Average pop song

1. The close hi hat sounds too loud

2. A guitar solo would have been appropriate

3. The song doesn't have any memorable hooks; it's just an average pop song

More Beatles than the Beatles!

You can't get much beatlesque than this one circa 1963! Sadly the tune for me doesn't hold a candle to any of the fabs efforts from those days.

The retro feel is spot on in the production and the playing is fine, but the verse lyrics for me are not strong enough and quickly get quite annoyingly repetitive. The pre chorus is the best part of the song both lyrically and musically whilst the chorus is also a bit too repetitive - although I do like the end part when it drops into a very Elvis Costello sounding part which is cool.

Vocally this is fine with excellent double tracking on the lead; it does sound more Elvis Costello than Lennon, and maybe adding more harmony parts would lift it up a notch or two from the pleasant retro rocker it is at the moment.
