WALKER RECRUITMENT AND REGISTRATION DEADLINE - April 8, 2009 and through walk day!

¨ Submit all walker names to the American Heart Association, one of three ways:

¨ Make sure each walker is registered online and collecting donations

¨ Check out the Heart Walk website often to view the different team pages and monitor your team’s progress at: www.snjspringhw.org

TEAM EVENT DATES Mark your calendar, and get your Team involved!

¨ Start! Fit Friendly Company Submit by January & July 15, 2009 Learn how your company can be more healthy!

¨ National Start Walking Day Wednesday, April 8, 2009 Join people across the nation at 2:41PM to Start! walking!

¨ Lifestyle Change Awards Submit by April 15, 2009 Tell us about healthy changes you’ve made via our website!

PRE-EVENT TURN-IN DAYS Monday, May 11– Thursday, May 14, 2009 – Sun National Bank

¨ Team Captains- Save time on walk day! Please turn in your team’s envelopes at “Bank Day Turn In.

¨ IMPORTANT! Walker Envelopes/Donations for children must be turned in at Bank Turn In to receive wristband

for amusements. (Please note: Wristbands are limited to first 1,000)

Free parking: Before 10: 00 am at 5th & boardwalk, at the Firehouse - 5th & Atlantic Avenues or at Ocean City Tabernacle

Plan to meet your team in the football stadium bleachers behind Ocean City High School!

Inspire Change : Making Change/ Donation Turn In, Eat Street- Healthy Snacks, Take the Pledge & Get Healthy Learn from me

Celebrate Success: Music/DJ, Team Photos, Kid’s Zone, Super Star Area, Chairman’s Tent, Lifestyle Change Awards, Aerobic Warm Ups & lots more fun!

Ceremony/Ribbon Cutting: 10:00 am –10:30am at the Stage on the Football Field/Track

Walk: Choose a 1.5, 3 or 5 mile boardwalk route

Post Walk Activities:

Shore Thing Band at Music Pier

Gillian’s Wonderland Pier Amusements (with wristband)*

(limit 1,000 wristbands) 1-3 pm for children (17 & under who raise $20 or more) Walker envelopes must be turned in at official Bank Turn in.
