STANFORD LIVE TO HOST ‘BING OUTSIDE / IN,’ A FREE ARTS OPEN HOUSE ON SEPTEMBER 26

The community is invited to a variety of performances in and around Bing Concert Hall, highlighted by the indie band Family Crest

Stanford, CA, September 3, 2015—Stanford Live is celebrating its 2015-16 season with an arts open house on Saturday, September 26. Titled Bing Outside / In, the event is intended to bring the outside community into Bing Concert Hall for a fun, free afternoon of music, dance and art.

This all-ages, daylong party will take place from 1:30-5:00 p.m. in a variety of locations in and around the venue, culminating with a free show in Bing’s open-air lobby—the Gunn Atrium—with indie band and San Francisco favorites The Family Crest. Other headliners on the lobby stage that day will include 14-year-old solo singer-songwriter Lila Blue, the kid-friendly folk music and puppet group Octopretzel and Nonstop Bhangra, an interactive DJ dance set with drums and dancers.

Guests can also wander onto Bing’s outdoor patio for informal performances by the Community School of Music and Arts’ youth percussion duo, Circus Bella and Stanford Taiko. And in the intimate lobby alcove, magician Dante Mancini will perform throughout the afternoon.

Later that evening, the Indian dance troupe Nrityagram presents a paid performance on the Bing Concert Hall’s main stage.

Bing Outside / In is part of Stanford Live’s family series, which is sponsored by Seagate. The

arts open house if free to the public. For more information and to RSVP visit live.stanford.edu.
