I am an incredibly hard working individual, who continually strives to produce work of the highest standard. To date, I have gained a great variety of experience in the field of translation, working on academic, business and consumer translations. SKILLS, INTERESTS & ACTIVITIES
Music–Since a young age, I have always had a passion for playing music and have achieved Grade 6 piano and Grade 1 theory (London College of Music, certificate board)
Languages–As well as a degree level in German and Italian, I have studied British Sign Language and hope to begin an evening course in French next year. Whilst at the University of St Andrews, I was President (2007-2008) and Press & Communications Officer (2006-2007) for the Italian Society
Sport– I enjoy playing sport and keeping fit. I am a keen badminton player, runner and walker. I completed the Edinburgh Half Marathon (2010), the Edinburgh Moonwalk (raising money for Breast Cancer Research) and have achieved advanced level certificates in swimming. I am currently training for the Great North Run in September 2012
I am competent using all Microsoft software (including PowerPoint, Office, Office Outlook, etc), Trados and Wordfast translation programmes,and Lotus Notes. I also have good experience working with Apple packages, having an Apple Mac for personal use. I have a full, clean driving licence.
