1.Welcome Message via Gami–Jaime introduces and demonstrates a new way to share animated messages called a Tellagami. You will see a hyperlink at the end of the agenda for directions on how to use the Gami.
2.A Glimpse into Orientation Slideshow– Jaime hit the highlights with a slideshow
3.State of the School Media Center Brochures -Jaime passed these out to everyone and asked that you look over. If you have questions about your brochure please let Jaime know.
Jaime suggested that you set a personal goal to create as many lessons as possible.
Jaime said to keep count of students using your media center whether its class visits or individuals.

6. Review of Possible Purchase Order Object Numbers– Please look over and review
Make sure you are putting the correct object number for what you are ordering.
7. Plan for Improving Student Achievement in Media Literacy-
- Project Outcomes Folder:

- Project Achievement Outcomes = as we get more information we will save in a folder on the MS drive.
8. New Additions to the Annual Report Template– Templates will be changing
- You will identify the needs improvement areas for our school. (Your school might be slightly different than another school)
i. You will track the materials added in the category you identify.(Tell Jaime your category)
- Big 6 Implementation/ Project Achievement- Note the date of your Project Achievement Presentations and the number of Completed Projects – add to your annual report
- Teacher Workshops Provided
i.The number of workshops offered will be noted on your Annual Report so if it is offered 5 times you will count it 5 times.
9. Join the Media Festival Celebration Committee– to sign up, Jaime will create a folder on the media specialist drive in the FY14 folder.
10. Remember to Share your Cyber Safety Tips– Please include through your school’s news or Kiosk.
11. Media & technology showcase Update–
a. So far we have 20 vendors attending
b. We have 76 registered attendees so far and it is still open
c. If you have any Vendor suggestions for next year let Jaime know.
12. Book Trailer Contest– Sponsored by the Live Oak Library – Jaime does not have an exact date yet but she will let you know.

16. Discarded Books and JBE Discards Update- Jaime would like to give discards to Oklahoma. She could come to your school and collect your books.

18. App Snack-Tellagami- Hyperlink – Jaime has attached samples of the Tellagami. Click on for directions. It is an easy to use app that you can save as a video and there is an App for the iPad. You can save your Telegami on the Media Specialists Drive.
19. Media Training Topics - Workshops are available for signup – The list is based on a survey we did at the end of the year last year. Jaime asked if anyone has dates and which topic they want- Jaime will check on the locations and let you know.

20. Other – Jaime stated that she needs to get a weekly update on any iPad issues that may occur.
Also, the technicians need to check in with the media specialists when they come to your school and when they are leaving.
Jaime will verify if the Internet Permission form in the Code of Conduct can be copied and sent home.
Mary talked about the Follett Shelf. Jaime said she would recommend it over another vendor. And that all the books on the Follett Shelf are AR books.
Jaime stated that John Bach is no longer with Follett and we have a new rep – Lyndsey Burke.
