August 2016 Minutes will be presented and approved via e-mail.

Ms. Heightland requested that going forward all space allocation and changes to RYHA space that is currently being used be brought before the board for approval prior to any changes being made.

GAMBLING COMMITTEE – Mark Hickey

Gambling July 2016 activity summary, tax return, allowable expenses, and October 2016 budget were presented and approved.

MITES/SUPERMITES REPRESENTATIVE – Lorne Hedin

Mr. Hedin reported that the recently held Try Hockey Free days held at the REC Center had a very good number of participants with roughly 170 participating over the two days. He does not have numbers to report on who registered for RMHA this season and will follow up with that as the MITE season begins.

The MITE Association has approximately 320 registrants thus far with registration being ongoing through October.

OPERATIONS UNIT – Chris Brunholzl

MAHA – Matt Hanzel

Mr. Hanzel reported that the Free Ice Hockey Safety Clinic will be held October 29th from 12:30-4:30 at the Graham Arena

And all teams and coaches are strongly encouraged to attend. This clinic is put on by Mayo Clinic Sports Medicine and the

Rochester Hockey Foundation and will cover such items as Body contact, Heads up hockey, and helmet fitment, among other things.

Sales for the Let’s Try Hockey Day and registration thus far appear to be good and Ms. Kleinschmidt will report further after registration sales have been tallied.

GIRLS UNIT- Guy Gallaugher

Mr. Gallaugher reported that the Girls registration numbers are still uncertain and he will have a more accurate number following next weeks late registration.
